banned system

there needs to be a change how this is done heres a few ideals

a vote system = for members who have been here 4-5 years ad a mod/vet

how this would work would be any 3 older members cast there vote for a ban but a safe lock for abuse of power would be needing a mod/vet to cast there vote at that point everything this poster posted would be deleted

mod/vet system

giving them back the power to ban and delete all posts by user
safe lock would be needing two mods/vets to vote


i think this would this site out more back in the old days when i first joined this didnt happen as often and when it did itr was taken care of just as quick

This is a privately owned and paid for message board / forum. It's paid for by one person/company, and as such, participating in this forum is no different than being on private property, in a private residence, or in the lobby of a private company. As such, that property owner has the authority to ask anyone to vacate their property for any reason they deem fit. In short, this forum / message board is not a democracy of any sort, and therefor members here have no 'rights.' Members on this forum are granted the privilege of posting messages here on the owners dime, and the owner retains full discretion in allowing or disallowing posts or membership to this board.

Your idea sounds pretty cool in theory, I am however, just pointing out the reality of the situation here.

I think big and other mobs should have the power to banned members and lock and delete thread so we dont have shit like we did last nigh......

big is almost always on so please admin give someones else the power so we dont have to deal with someone talking about the dead and well respected member!!!!

Sounds like i missed some shit here the past day or so. Been down with a cold. But i agree, Mods should have the power to ban someone. But i thought Big and other Mods could lock/move/delete threads. I remember a few times Big locking some threads. Did they take it away?

I agree to a point with you bunny but not all mods just some like big and booz. I can tell you will not find a more fair person then big anywhere....

Big and Booz are definately stand up guys and im sure they would do a very good job of decideing who should be banned.....the only thing is, sometimes personal opinions/feelings get in the way of making the best and fair decisions.........

What about the power to suspend a member untill Admin has a chance to make an informed decision?

also with a respected member a suspension i think would be better than a banning.....i mean if someone has spent years on this board then they obviously have respect for it and maybe a suspension would be more fitting?.........obviously depends on the CRIME lol......

thats why i said a safe lock for mods/vets would be they need two of them to ban someone that way this abuse of power wouldnt happen and also a mod couldnt ban a person cause of a bad day

yes they did but the power was taken away cause a few abused the power

so i was told long ago if its true i dont know for sure as iv never been a mod just talked to a few of them long ago lol
