    youtube revenue sharing

I've been posting some competition vids and recently some off season lifting vids on youtube. I get this email today saying one of the vids I recently posted has had enough views to qualify for revenue sharing. In 3 weeks it's gotten 4500 views. The other vids usually get a few hundred views and that's even posting on some forums to bring attention to it. Some how this one vid has gotten linked and is getting more popular.

I guess the money comes from advertising on your vid and is based on how many people hit the link to the ad. I never thought about the possibility of making a penny on the vids, but now I am. Some training video clips have millions of views(not mine).

Does anyone have any experience with this or have heard what can be made with youtube videos? I would be happy if it helped pay for my protein.

I won't get too excited until I actually see some money. It still has to be accepted according to the email.

We'll see how lucky. I don't expect much if anything. But so far, I've gotten nothing out of my passion but some trophies.

Someone throw me a ****ing bone!

I watched 10 seconds (10 seconds too much) and I understand why he hasn't gotten a dime.

That's what Im wondering. You need mega views to make any money. The vids getting millions of views are the profit makers Im sure.

the video was funny and the numbers dont lie 100 million views makes for 1 million bucks and they wont ever payout that much cash to one person

I think the reason youtube emailed me was that the t-bar row video got 4500 views in 3 weeks. If it took an extended amount of time, it wouldn't have flagged it. At least, that's what I think. I didn't care much before, now I want mega views.

They said I would know if the video was accepted if I see an add next to it within the next two weeks.

My kid keeps showing me youtube videos from Peter Chao. This guy makes his living posting youtube videos of himself. He puts out around 3 a month and they all get a million plus views.
