Calculus.... FML.
Who else has taken this devil of a course? We've had two class meetings and I wanna slit my wrists. This is gonna be the hardest class I've ever taken for sure.

doing it now for my economics/accounting double degree
and also doing second year quantitative analysis
who wouldve thought economics would need calculus??
FML, i think the worst thing about the subject is the lectures always talk as if you know what their talking about, and just keeping going on and on with these massive equations when your still trying to figure out how the fuk he solved the matrix using the cubic equation,

I'm going for econ/business. This is probably the highest level math I'll have to take...... possibly Calculus II. The first day this woman is spouting off all sorts of crazy crap, and a bunch of people in the class are shouting out the answers. I'm like, WTF is going on here.
Last semester was my first semester back in the classroom in five years. I took a stats class and aced it. Math has always been my best subject, and I've never had less than a B. That was only once my junior year in high school. I've never felt more stupid in my entire life than I have in the last week.

o cool, your course is very similar to mine, ur first 2 years im gonna say are identical to mine, econmocs will be same, guessing one year subjects will be differenent since yours is buisness
calculus 2 i think might be an elective, dont think its pre requisite for any subjects, but i think it depend son what feild you wanna specialize in, im pretty sure econmoics forecasting and maximum and minimum outputs require second level calculus unfortunaly
lmfao agree, the lecture talks and your trying to figure out wtf shes saying
agree i did well in stats, both introctory stats and intermediate stats, but i think their rather easy compared to calculus, stats i found was just a case of finding the right equation on your formula sheet
dw understand hwo you feel about all sudden feelign dumb, ive always been really strong in all commerce.eco.law subjects until i started doing quantitave and calculus
i feel like im this little dumb kid in a room of geniuses, its horribel feeling, i remember when i use ot laugh in high school at the dumb kids who didnt understand basis maths, now i feel like im that dumb kid (everyone in my calculus class who is good at it, seems to be asian, indian, or united emirates, but i think that becuase my country offers alot of scholarships to these countries, so we have all these genius in maths studying statistician, physicist, etc, while im some guy who just wants to be an economist lol)

i took 4 engineering calculus courses. i found the best way to learn is go through sample problems to learn the concept/method. and for me, attending class to actually see the prof go through them is the best way to learn. i don't think i could have learned it just from a book. by the end i LOVED it. that, and differential equations, and complex (imaginary number) math.
