Never traveled before, got an awesome gift, but I'm kinda freaked out..
Ok one, I've never flown on a plane before or left the country. Mostly due to the fact that right after I turned 18, I got in a lot of trouble with the law that restricted me from leaving the state for 8 years.
Long story short, that was the past, but I wasn't expecting my parents to do this, I'm thrilled they did, but I'm anxious as fvck.
This is not a fear of airplanes thread. (even though I've never flown I don't really care about that)
I use to read books about a certain topic, and watch documentaries, and I know a lot of random facts, and I'm not sure if I'm overreacting. In the span of ONLY 10 years, something like 1,500 people went dissappearing in the Bermuda Triangle, 58 airplanes, 26 ships, and that was just the worst 10 years. People are always randomly fvckn dissappearing. I've had a lifelong fear I suppose of the Bermuda Triangle, I know its a bit irrational, but I just want to hear from people here who've taken a cruise through it, and did any crazy shit happen.
My parents set up 3 trips for me which is my present for graduation lol, they're cool like that and did it for all my older brothers. One trip is to Vegas in 2 months, another trip is a cruise to the Carribeans, but its stops at Bermuda first. And then a later summer trip to italy is being planned. I haven't really been anywhere, even when I was young, so naturally I'm excited as shit.
But what are my real chances of dying? We're going right through the triangle I've been told. The travel agent was of course saying we have nothing to worry about, but shes getting paid, so of course shes gonna say that.
Anyone have any real life experiences going through the triangle? Or is this just a myth like Santa Claus and Jesus?
I am genuinely a bit freaked out, wouldn't have made this if I wasn't. Thanks.

Jesus is not a myth my man, 'it' is just plain and simply a big fat lie. .
But Santa Clause is real!
I've flown through it many times, don't get your panties in a knot, .
Dying on a plane.... well lets just say you have more chance of dying from a coconut landing on your head then you do a plane crash, your safe, it still is the safest form of transport, hell you drive a car don't you? thats fvck dangerous (i should talk i drive a motorbike).
You're sweet man. The Bermuda triangle just has a higher density of magnetic flux and this interferes with equipment, however all newer planes now have the capabilities to not be effected. Just leave ur phone in flight mode or off and you'll e safe, .

the thing they say causes ships and planes to go missing in the triangle is something messes with the navigation systems. The people that go missing are the small planes and yachts. The biggest disappearance was during one of the world wars something like 12 planes disappeared at once. There instruments messed up and they go set off course and ran out of fuel. You won't have anything to worry about tho. They have cruises dock there daily throughout the year.

The interference i with electronic equipment is due to magnetic flux and an imbalance in the electromegnetic field in that area. It affected vehicles a long tiem ago, but our technology is far too advanced to be effected now, we have very effective saftey measures.
Its 99.999999% safe. Just enjoy yourself.
And yes rogue waves are a ****, buuuuuuut i doubt they will be high enough to reach a plane .

The chances of you dying are no greater than the chances of you dying while staying in the states. Don't worry about it and just enjoy yourself! Amazing your parents would do that for you. I'd love to go to vegas and italy

I do not know what countries exactly you are going to.
There are many countries that will not allow you to enter with drug related felonies. You may want to check prior to buy the tickets.

sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun. I have flown through it before but I havnt flown in a while (Also got in trouble with the law at about the same age). Heck if you are seriously anxious about it pop half of a xanax before you board. In the end the only way to overcome the fear is simply going through it, and I think that you will find that the return trip will be much more comfortable having already done it once.

nah he said he wasnt afraid of flying, but afried of going through the triangle, haha, . But as we proved in the above posts with extensive research, if you are a member of this board and spend your time in the lounge, the triangle will eat you. Its simple fact. .
