I beg to differ. I didn't find it that much faster or more impressive at all. I had one for about three week and ended up switching to the Droid. The main reason was because T-Mobile service was so horribly bad. The phone is great, no doubt, but not so much better that it's worth dealing with shitty service.

I have the htc hero from sprint and I like it a lot. I would hope the nexus would be the best g1 phone since google mad the os.

that sucks tmobile service isn't good in your area.... i guess that would make using the phone not so fun, that's for sure. I get a fast 3g connection where i am on a daily basis so i'm always getting full speeds for data transfers. The droid is supposed to be pretty cool from what i've read and seen.... it's ahead of the other androids with firmware.. i think it's at 2.01 most others are 1.5-1.6 nexus is the only one right now at 2.1 How do you like your droid??

I wish, I've been lusting after that phone for a while. I want one but can't fork out the 500-600 it would cost for me to get one, as I don't have T-Mobile. I'm hoping one day ATT will support Android handsets.

That's the thing, man.... I only bought it because I'm smack dead in the middle of T-Mobile 3G coverage. I mean, the entire area is colored in on the map. I didn't even get regular service half the time at my house and school. I'm in north Orange County, where are you?
The droid is pretty sweet. The nexus one was a bit faster, but had more problems. I'm sure they will all be worked out, and when the bugs and service problems are worked out it's gonna be a wicked phone. I don't use the features as much, mainly just facebook, email, and web browsing (which is very fast). So I guess you can say I'm happy. The one thing I really hate about both phones is the battery. They don't hold a candle to my iphone when it comes to battery life.

iphone needs to step it up now with something new.... but so does everyone else to catch up to googles latest.. i love iphones too though... i like a lot of androids as well. I just love phones in general. I had to get the nexus though because of the 1ghz snapdragon cpu... also has a dope camera / flash as well as a 3.7" screen lots of goodies actually... I'm happy

I wont even look at it until it can utilize the 3G network of ATT.

The data speed on my Droid is faster than my iphone. Maybe it's just my area. I'm very happy with my data and phone features (Droid), and I'm on a plan that's cheaper than the 19% discounted plan I was getting with ATT. I don't talk much so it's not a huge deal, but ATT drops a shit ton of calls.

I have ATT (for work) and Verizon (home). ATT drops calls all the time, Verizon doesnt and I travel alot. also I get service for 3g a LOT more places with Verizon than ATT.
I love the Droid. I dont care if there is better or not. Im sure either way there will be in 6 months or less but it's still a fun cool phone and good enough for me the next couple years. I HATE trying to have the best, fastest or??? I'm not into competition when it comes to technology, it's a loosing battle.
I work with $20,000 servers and $???? routers. My laptop cost me $400 and does EVERYTHING I need.
I got the droid because I was WAY past my upgrade time and my contract was actually expiring, also my rates went down so it was a win win.

I tried buying this phone and have had tmobile for 8 yrs!!! I called to order it, they said "no problem", it was something like 279 for tmobile customers. Awesome, Right? Not.... The problem is for 90 days you can only get 500 minutes a month, and a low amount of texts. Or shell out for the unlocked version for 600big ones!! I use my phone for work and can hit 2500 minutes easy.. Who the hell came out with that idea. Shame on Tmobile and there loyalty to customers and f@ck HTC
