What do you feed your kids?

    http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/healt...e-not-1006879/

I read this article a little while ago and it made me think. I am guilty of feeding my oldest daughter (and husband) foods that they like but I would never eat myself because I'm very serious about my diet (not just for losing weight, but also because I can't eat certain foods for health reasons). I know that alot of members have strict diets for either cutting or bulking or other goals, but how many of us pay alot of attention to what we feed our kids? So, do you (or your wife/girlfriend/partner) have your kids on any specific diet or are there things that they are either required to eat or not allowed to eat?

we get smart balance natural crunchy here..

My 4 year old actually has spit out skippy or whatever brand at his friends house ,, because he only likes the all natural brands now.. I actually azz a kid and adult hated peanut butter too!! Untill I tried the natural kind,,,, It actually tastes like peanuts..

But thanks to the anarchy of grandma's house my kid does love corn dogs and the good ole american Mcdonalds..

It kinda amazes me that I didnt wiegh 500 lbs when I was at home...

LOL...grandparent's usually undermine (with all good intentions) any good eating habits that parent's try to establish at home.

that website actually sounds helpful to parents who dont know good nutrition...
best good advice i can think of to throw in is to start them on a wide variety of foods including all veggies/colors while they are just starting to eat whole foods and continue so they are used to the different flavors and wont be afraid to try different colors and smells and tastes because their used to a variety

That's a very good point jpkman...until they develop their own tastes, children will eat what you give them and learn by example. Actually, even after they decide what they do and do not like, they will eat what you give them when they get hungry enough LOL.
