You shoudl definitely read the book. The financial philosophies in there are simple, easy to grasp and apply in real life. They will open your eyes on a lot of things in life.

    That book changed my life.

no it has nothing to do with that. its about a son who learns about financial gains/loss through his 2 dads, not gay dads, but step and real

Rich Dad Poor Dad has become the single most successful-best selling financial book ever---and for good reason; the advice works. It tells people not what they want to hear, but they need to hear.I also recommend Rich Dad's Guide to Investing which offers better investing strategies than just blindly buying mutual funds or listening to your broker without rhyme or reason.I wish you continued success!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is an okay book...nothing spectacular. The entire book can be summarized in one sentence: Spend your money buying assets instead of things that quickly go down in value. Really, that's it.

I agree with Tesla, it's very generic, and has a lot of anecdotes, but it will definitely get you motivated!

I just think it puts everything into perspective as to how rich people are rich and why you're not (yet).
