Any Mechanics in here?

The throttle on my chevelle keeps getting stuck, the fist time it was at high the others were at low throttle, i'd checked the throttle cable, carb and it all seems to mover normally. It seems that it only happens while in drive, it doesn't happen when parked/idle. Any ideas appreciated, thanks.

Did you check the throttle body intself? Check for build up / rubbing / etc.

what year is this car? open the hood take the wing nut off the carb then you should see the 4barrel carb, pull gas line/cable to see if functions properly, you say it gets stuck or it sticks? how did it get unstuck?

66 Chevelle with a 383 stroker, i usually have to bring the you know where the throttle cable goes bring it back to the original position. Its a 4 barrel carb.

Here's the carb and the red line indicates where it gets stuck, i have to manually returned it to the original position, i can feel something sticking inside as the throttle cable is usually loose.

It is not a carb fault mate remove your cable from the pedal make sure theres no damage to the outer then check that the cable opperates by hand without sticking the line from the carb is it a vaccum pipe

To adjust the throttle position remove cable from carb start the car up make sure your idle speed is right frist then put cable back on the rpm should remain the same when the cable is put back on.Then switch engine off check you are getting full throttle when you opperate the pedal get someone to press the pedal for you look in side carb to make sure throttle flaps are fully open and also that they return

Describing it this would indicate that the problem is within the carb. With the carb off, you should still feel the binding if you open and close the throttle, right?
