How often does your wife/gf drink?
My girlfriend is 25, has a kid, and HAS to get drunk atleast once per week, this bothers me as I only drink every 3 months or so. Am I right to get mad at her? 25 is not exactly a kid anymore, its time to start focusing on a successful life.

Did you not know her drinking habits b4 u guys got 2gether? I personally used 2 drink a lot. Me and my ex wife. Yet I quit drinking all 2gether. When she realized I was serious she in turn quit.
My Gf doesn't drink at all which is a blessing.
Its ur choice, u either deal wit it or not. I don't mind someone who drinx as long as they maintain their liquor. The problem I have is a chic who smokes. She can't even come near me.

My girl will have a beer or two a couple times a month doesn't get drunk unless it's a special occasion.

I wouldn't say she has a drinking problem yet......
My wife went from a gym rat who was a hard worker in and outa work to a useless prescription drug addict who got fired from her job...... this happened over the coarse of about 18 months.
We stuck it out..... shes done her detox/rehab and is still being treated but its a process.
I don't think you can really get mad at her for drinking once a week unless it's interfering with your life. In other words..... if you made plans in advance to go out and she came home drunk and you had to scrap your plans to watch the kid..... thats a problem.....

coming from an alcoholic mother, who drank herself to death, i have ZERO tolerance for a girl who can't control her drinking.

My ex drank every weekend and I hated it! I rarely drink, once every 3-4 months.

Much ado about nothing...IMO!!!
My wife drinks, but I don't keep tabs with how often. Sometimes its once a month, sometimes its 3-4 times a week. I doesn't bother me one bit. She doesn't have a problem. I drink as well with the same up and down frequency. We're successful with very successful children living the American dream. You shouldn't be with someone if you don't know if your lifestyles are compatible.

Who cares if your gf drinks.
You have chosen this life style,
Not her.
Dont be a party pooper. Once a week is nothing.
**** when Im not on a cycle me and mine kill a bottle or 2 of wine every time we see eachother.

Tell her everytime she wants a drink, to drink your jizz instead, it's healthier.

Once a week isn't bad. If you don't like it, trade up. Think of it like a car lease lol

She doesn't...LOL...I mean, I don't. In the grand scheme of things, once a week isn't "bad", but it seems like the real issue is that you two have different goals/viewpoints. Are you against drinking entirely, or just the frequency of her drinking?

I think everyone needs the chance to blow off some steam once a week or so if possible.Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with her getting sloshed 1 night a week PROVIDED
1) She never puts her drinking ahead of taking care of the little one.
2) If it gets to the point that she is constantly getting totalized as and not able to maintain her some semblance of being semi-functional then she would either need to seek help or be escorted to a place that can help her. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
