    Gallbladder Surgery

I just had my gall bladder removed this morning. Doc did laparoscopy and now i'm sitting here with a stiff as hell and slightly swollen gut. Anyone else have their gallbladder removed? I got some info from the doc and he said I should be back to normal in a short period of time.

From this morning until now, things have gotten alot better, but my gut seems to still be swelling. I am no longer nauseated from the anaesthesia and my pain meds have worn off. I just feel like my whole gut is a bruise. I'm kind of afraid to take the pain pills for fear I might think I'm better off and hurt myself.

    Any experience/advice?

Pain meds will be ok for now..... but if you don't need them - don't take them.

You'll be uncomfortable for a little bit but you'll recover much faster because it's laparoscopic. Best of luck!
