I need a suit, some help needed
Like the title says, I need a suit for an up coming wedding that my woman is going to be a part of the wedding party. Last time I owned a suit was a few years back for my sister's wedding and that suit is long gone.
My question is should I go with a tailor made suit? I know it may be a bit more pricey but I dislike the fitment (even with alterations) of off the rack suits and I FCUKEN hate pleats and tapered legs. Plus I'd love to give my lady the refined man she deserves on that day, instead of the t-shirt and jeans guy she's used to.
Any opinions would be very welcome brothers. Thanks in advance.

A local men's warehouse or equivalent would be a good start. They have cheaper suits and good sales sometimes. They'll be able to help you out with the style and fit you want. Just make sure they know what your budget looks like and that you're trying to stick to it.
I'd be prepared to drop around 2-300 bucks on the cheap side for a decent suit.

Ya go to Men's Wherehouse or even a JC Penny or Boomingdales.. you'd be surprised the deals you can get for suits. Sometimes, you can get $1,000 suites for $3-400. I wear suits for work, so I go to Jos A. Bank a lot and they're always having a buy one get one free sale or something good if you're interested. You'll need to get it fitted though which is usually another $50 or so. Have fun at the wedding.. we better not catch you doing the chicken dance.

AHA HA!!! No chicken dancing here unless I get a lil special treatments later lol.
I guess I should clarify a bit more. I would like to steer clear of something off the rack if possible and I'd like some input on a made for me (tailor made) suit for those on here that have the experience. Also, being up in Canada we're limited as we don't have the big name department stores as you in the U.S.A. do.
Thanks for your info though guys, much appreciated.

Not where I live, I'm pretty sure. We don't have any American department stores either. What I'm looking for is someone's advice who has experience with hand made tailored suits and not off the rack and altered.
Anyone???

I see you too are in Alberta. I get my suits custom made by Sam Abouhassan in Edmonton Centre. He is no joke and neither are his prices.... I hope you make good coin, cuz if you gonna act like a pimp you better make a like a pimp. His suits start at $1800 and up from there depending on many things. He also does shirts for $250 but I think the prices may be down slightly. I have not had any work done in 8 months.
He is world renowned, makes Wayne Gretzky, Glen Sather, Kevin Lowe and many other famous people clothes. Check him out at his store or at his site www.samabouhassan.com
If he is out of your price range, let me know... I'll know the store for you, trust me..... Just let me know what you want to spend.

I used to get a catalog from an online big guy site, I think called oversize.com. But Men's Warehouse should be able to accommodate you.

Mens wearhouse is where you want to start.....
I like all my suits tailored to fit snug. I hate when they look all baggy and retarded..... problem is..... I now don't fit in 2 suits i bought last year and the 2 I bought this year are extremilly snug. 10 more pounds and I wont fit in those either......
It's not worth buying a real expensive suit if you plan on growing more.....

Well, there is no Men's Warehouse in Canada. There is a Moore's which is owned by the same company. It is pretty good for your average guy gonna use the suit a couple times..... *hint hint* OP..... and they do have some nice suits.
BUT..... Some of us are snobs and like our fancy shit..... BITCHESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Spend the money by going to BKK/Thailand, have 2 suits made custom tailored for $200 and your bachelor party at the same time.
