    Unhappy Always Tired

Recently i always seem to be tired. As soon as i get up im ready for bed again, it doesnt matter whether or not i have 6 or 12 hours sleep i always feel the same.

Is there anything i can do to help? anything i can take or eat?

its getting to the point where i cant concentrate in class, I love coming on the various boards and learning but it seems to be going in and straight back out. it feels like everything i do i can only put 50% or less in because im falling to sleep?

    any advice would be appreciated

Vanduhl..... shut up, you're no help

Manicc, I have had the same problem for as long as I can remember. Except I have issues falling asleep on top of it all. I have seen multiple doctors and they can't tell me shit. They say it is not insomnia. One doctor tried to tell me I was depressed and prescribed Anti D's I talked to another doc and he said.... no way you're depressed. I dunno.... I hope someone can offer an answer for us....

    You're not alone.

Maybe it's your diet? You can as much sleep as you want, but if your food intake is well, rubbish, you'll feel rubbish.

Are you drinking a lot of coffee, anything like that?

Idk if you already do so but I find doing cardio first thing when I wake up gets me ready for the day. Do you take any stimulants?

I would supp with a B-complex and adrenal support, especially if you take stimulants, caffine, pre-workout supps, ect. those can deplete your adrenals, and cause you to be tired, and oversleep can cause the same thing, IMO id shoot for 8-10 hours tops of sleep. DHEA can also help the adrenals, and extreme carb depletion is another cause, oh yea and ECA stacks over tax the thyroid and adrenals so if your taking that(which i dont know) Id stop for @ least two weeks.

4000 mcg of b-12 with your b complex should help your adrenals recover, DONT DO ECA OR AMPHETAMINES (ADDERAL) caffine as well.

if it hasnt been going on for long, it could just be overtraining.

For myself, it was going on for a while, but i was so used to being tired that I was usually just "normal" tired, and didnt notice it, until the extra heavy workouts made me "double-tired" (yes, i just made that word up)

It turns out i had developed apnea. Not bad - just enough interruption in my breathing that it knocked me out of REM sleep, without waking me up. 12 hours of "light" sleep, but no deep, restorative sleep. You have someone sleeping next to you? Have they ever commented on, or noticed on you pausing/stopping your breathing?

What did you do to resolve this issue? I have the same problem but refuse to wear an oxygen mask to bed..... What about you?

They actually have a new device for this its sorta like a bite block, they fit your mouth for it (NO HOMO) and you sleep with it. Its pretty new but i dont remember what its called. I was doing my EMT student clinicals and was doing a focused history on a patient with A-fib when he told me about this apt he had with his doc to het this fitted.
