Backwards if you go outside of the main cities but that's it's charm imo. And some great places to go out and get melted drunk and scenery esp down west Cork way.

I lived in London for a while on a working holiday, I made a 4 day trip for new years to Dublin....did not know anyone there.
It is awesome! I met some cool people, ended up staying at peoples apartments, getting taken to after bar closing parties at strangers apartments, the girls were easy to talk to and could drink more then me... which was kind of embarrassing....there were many fine girls. The pubs were cool and the guinness like drinking fvckinh cream.
Good Craic!

Lol G'wan the craic that's how it operates in Irelands. Lots of lock in's in the countryside and there is always a party to go baclk to in Ireland.
And we have a smoking ban in pubs till 12 o clock in the country then the "doors" close and out come the ash trays and everyone starts smoking inside their and if you don't like it your shown the door. My buddy has a pub down the road that I call his pool room as it has a pool table and all we do is get fooked pissed and play really bad pool but it's great craic because the owner of the bar will keep serving till 3 in the morning and then politely ask you to leave because he wants to go home lol

Personally I NEVER think of Ireland unless someone brings it up in conversation and on St Patrick's day for about 10 minutes.
Although I am part Irish it has never occurred to me to visit there or have any interest.

I love Ireland. My dad was born there and I have Irish citizenship. Even though I am Canadian I am pure Irish at heart. I have a lot of family there and love going there. Haven't been since 2001. Can't wait to go back.... Will be going very soon.
