how big is your...tv
Im looking to get a 40-50" flat screen, what place do u think offers the best deals? Any stores online that have discounts or wholesale prices? So far it looks like best buy beats the prices from abcwarehouse.com my neighbory back in january got a 50" insignia plasma on clearance from bestbuy for only 500bux, i havent been able to find anything close to the deal he got back then. Im not really to picky on whether its a 720p or 1080. best buy has a 42 for 450 and a 46 for 597, those were the best prices i could find.

Look bottom line what you need to look for is - Hz and contrast ratio
Fuk that insgzina or what ever its called the contrast is super low and only 60hz
i took back like 5 tvs before i found the 1 i liked
you will have to get a good HDMI cord and upgraded to HD to get quality out of your flatscreen
I bought a 55" samsung new LED 240hz for living room for $1,600 and is a awesome tv
also bought a samsung 46" for the bedroom 120hz LCD which was like $800 but is damn close to my led tv,
I also have a LG 120hz 55" that i paid $1,100 for great tv for the price
Samsung and LG is the only way to go imo
Fuk plasma - LCD or LED at 120hz or 240hz is what to look for
Trust me
Right now is the time to buy cause they have that new 4-color screens coming out now - there adding yellow
so alot of stores are selling all the still new in the box last year models 09 for cheap
My brother bought a LG 47" 240hz new for $980 at Brandsmart
You can go on Brandsmart.com but you wont get the deals online like you will in the storeLast edited by DOM6; 06-08-2010 at 10:30 PM.

Check Costco out if you're a member there. I have a 50" Mitsubishi, and a 46" Toshiba Regza wide screen 1080P. Both are real cool, but we spend most the time on the Toshiba.

I have a 56" panasonic. I payed $600 for it from walmart. It was marked down from $1695. It was a display model.
I went to walmart to buy some clippers and left with a 56" tv and a 52" tv for less than $1300 and I sold the 52" the same day for 700. Most random and unexpected spending i've ever done

If you are going 50+ i would require the TV be 240Hz.

I bought a sony 50" 1080 scratch and dent at Best Buy over 3 years ago for 1400. At that time it was a great buy. Had a tiny tiny scratch on the bottom screen and you can only see it (barely) when it is off. Have a 27" 1080 Westinghouse in my home office nice good TV--bought that for 600 3 years ago too. And I just bought my kids a 720p Sony 34" at Costco for 390 bucks. They play there PS3, Wii and XBOX 360 on it (yes they are spoiled!) Super great deal and I can't tell the difference between that and my 1080 TV. If I were you I would stick with Sony, Samsung or Vizio (yes Vizio!). They are consistanly ranked highest in consumer reports etc
