... he cannot make miracles if the goalkeeper...
By the way, USA is a very good team with great athletes.
With an european coach they could achieve much more.

It wouldn't matter if Wenger, Fergusson or Jose Morinho was in charge of the England squad, I really dont think the display would be any different.
We need a totally new generation of stars. Its a shame really, a few of our lads seem up for it, the others clearly dont.
If only john terry had shagged robert greens wife
Just finished to watch the game and I must admit it is unbelievable to see some English players to make such mistakes.
I think they have a psychologic barrier and this force them not to play correctly.
I also think Capello is the right coach to create motivation and in the last game I believe motivation will come out and England will go ahead.
RANT MODE:
Every time I saw shit pass after shit pass I thought "there goes another 20-30 million pound pass down the drain".
Heskey was shit, but he always is, but there were a good 4-5 players MUCH worse than him.
What the fvck was Lampard doing? Fvcking hiding the whole game, piss off back to Chelsea. Rooney looked totally disinterested, Gerrard was a calamity, SWP should never step foot onto a S African stadium again, Carragher should think about more time spent training than the sunbed shops. The WAGS have been banned from the tourney but Jesus, something much worse is distracting them now, James fvcking Corden.
I am not surprised the England team were boo'd off the pitch. Some fans must have paid THOUSANDS to be at that game, and for what? That was like watching a Sunday league Pub match.
Half the players for Algeria play in division two teams, some are part time. Glen Johnson probably earns more in a week than the entire Algerian team does in a year.
RANT OFF:![]()
Its like watching an animal slowly coming to its death, someone please get me a bucket of water.
I agree about the US really good team this time around. I expect them to make it to quarters at least.
I don't know why you all are surprised about England's lackluster performance, it is always the same with them. Bunch of overrated players who never amount to anything in world cups but somehow are within favorites everytime.
BJJ what do you think about Italy? They have started very slow with 2 ties, almost reminds me of 82' start.
I think Italy is not the world champion team it used to be in 2006 and considering since Roberto Baggio left I believe is the weakest team ever.
However, the team is joined together so I would not wonder to see them in the first 8 places this time.
Regarding England, Capello's mentality was the deal and I believe in the last match they will show it.
On paper, who has the richest side in regards to transfers?
Portugal, Spain, England, Argentina. England are certainly there but have played like a confrence side.
'98 was his last world cup, I know they dive, cheat and whinge their way to wins (filthy cheats) But they still won it without him, they never won with him in the team. They only scored against a bunch of part time New Zealand players from a filthy dive in the box. They will be lucky to make it out of the groups.
Remember USA 1990, the final Brazil-Italy...
they did not win with him but they were so close...
I watched again the match with NZ and I believe they played without remembering their value.
We have no champion athletes (Totti...) anymore but taken individually they are all good players and since they are a team, differently from France or England I would say, I think they can still go ahead.
Furthermore, considering what said, with Holland they will play the best match because with an "open face" team like them they have the freedom to play freely.
Holland will choke, again. Shame I like their play and their players.
Close is not a win.(I think you mean '94 he cost them with shiit penalty)
Too many ego's to play well as a team-thats where the South American teams have it all over the Europeans. They Put country before themselves-potential to win doesn't mean shite.
Yes you are right that was Italy 1990 when Germany won.
I think I understood what you meant since poor countries have more will to succeed in sport. As a practising of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but being an Italian individual, I perfectly know what that means.
However, sum up all the world cups won by the European teams and compare it to the South American's ones.
Your statement becomes not suitable to the reality...
Brasil 5 (1958 - 1962 - 1970 - 1994 - 2002)
Italy 4 (1934 - 1938 - 1982 - 2006)
Germany 3 (1954 - 1974 - 1990)
Argentina 2 (1978 - 1986)
Uruguay 2 (1930 - 1950)
Francia 1 (1998)
Inghilterra 1 (1966)
I don't think ego's took over Europe untill '80s (inghilterra???? England?)4 each but I don't count the German one as they don't have typical ego status of Italy, England and the French players (I also don't include Spain and Portugal for future reference)
I didn't mention "poor" countries as the players from South American players are paid very well at home and abroard.

It does not matter how much they get paid, they still come from tiny villages in the middle of nowhere and became rich and famous because of a sport.
Even though they are all wealthy, they do not forget their roots so they still come from poor countries and have in their cultural backgrounds a history of poverty.
For analogy, something is to born the son of Berlusconi, something else is to born in the last forgotten place in Sicily and become Berlusconi!
I have faith in the boys, we need 2 goals early on wednesday
Today is:
"Do or die". - Steven Gerard
First half, as expected...
Decent game by the English team, good luck on Sunday Germany will chew them up. As usual for this world cup the USA advances in dramatic fashion.
Germany is a good team but young.
England's players have more experience.
If they play correctly, they can go ahead.
I was considering this lately after having listened to Cannavaro's press conference:
Even though for different reasons, either England and Italy approached this world cup in a fallacious way.
But, why England made it through and Italy failed?
Simple, Lippi is not Capello!!!
I am very sorry for USA but at the same time very happy for Ghana; they deserve to go ahead.
Upson starts, unchanged team!! England to win today and rooneys form to come back
3,2,1... Forza Inghilterra
First half, NO COMMENT!!!
The problem of England was/is the mentality.
I thought Capello could be able to change it.
I was wrong, he failed!
Same time 2014, lads?
