I'm personally very musically diverse so I train to all different types of stuff depending on my mood.
I'll listen to more mello stuff during cardio but typically in the weight room I'm listening to metal.. lately though, I've been training with no music, so I can focus on the sound of my breathing and what not..
Always listen to something during cardio though.. what about you man, what do you listen to?

When I train rap, metal, rock all sorts of stuff. Usually pick songs from films that motivate me and remind me of something thats happening in the film.
Such film as triple x (xXx) theres alot of good music in it and alot of good action.
Cardio, electro, dance, more comercial music instead of underground whilst at the weights room.

I recently watched the movie "Repo the Genetic Opera" (don't laugh if you haven't seen it yet check it out) and I've been getting into the soundtrack from that.

I listen to a bit of everything, its more about having a good beat than anything else, so certain rap songs, rammstein, rocky soundtrack, etc.
Here lately though, I have been listening to Two Steps From Hell
They do alot of really Epic Instrumental stuff. Love it!

I cant post my full playlist because the sheer intensity of it would blow everyones anus out like a 2000 lb squat, but needless to say it involves rambo II and commando soundtracks.. along with over the top.. bloodsport.. conan the barbarian.. various rock and metal
If anyone is trying to break through a plateau, put this song on your ipod
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttk9o...eature=related
When you look down and see arnold with a big f in log on his shoulder you will immediately be able to do at least 10 more lbs over your max.

Motivation is my age man i am 38, i have been injured with back pain for 9 years and this year everything changed with my prolotherapy treatments, i am back to life.
I train 6 times per week and i feel great. Weight lifting is anti aging and this is all the motivation i need, that end when people actually think i am 28 years old heheheheh.
I train to progressive music, genesis, rush, marillion, IQ, UK, Asia, Yes but at some point i also train listening to Naplam Death, Carcass, and Brutal Thruth to name a few.

I listen to whatever the gym is playing...I don't need music to motivate me...usually 400 mg's caffeine tabs and a cuban coffee does the trick..
