Sigh.. the delimma of bodybuilding
Do you ever feel like society is pushing you to cut down and look like a tool like this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCYKC...eature=related
I'd estimate his weight at 130 - 140. To me he looks sickly.. but im sure a lot of women are into that physique and just judging from the comments a lot of guys want to look like him. I see a scrawny man who has cut so far that his head is too OJ big for his little body. And yeah some of this is a personal frustration rant.

For me I aint looking to compete anymore these days, So my goals are too stay lean and ripped.
So I try to maintain that all year round, which I think is great way to look, about 10kg heavier than this guy maybe.
But by no mean his like skinny and a stick, where he looks sick.
But the main question I would be asking is why is he in sweat pants??? why is he hiding the legs?

I apologize I'm just incredibly frustrated. I got hit on more at 150 and cut up than I do at 190 and much bigger but more fat.
It just sucks because I feel like I want to get huge and worry about cutting later, but society kind of says 140 lbs and cut up is hot versus 190 and on a muscle gain diet.

I completely agree, I hate what society views as "the perfect body" because to me its a joke I want to avoid.
I can't even remember all the countless times someone in my family, or a friend, will ask me "why I do it". For me, the gym is my life. Every meal, every day, every schedule I make, all my plans, everything is focused around the gym and how I can get closer to my goals. Be it that I am injured from pushing myself too hard, or something else that catches a friend/family members attention, they always ask "Why do you do it?". I tell them that its my life, and THIS IS WHAT I WANT. I know I will never be the Mr. Olympia, but I want to look as close to those pro heavy weights as I can.
They for some reason think they can change me thinking by telling me that nobody actually finds that attractive, that it's "too big", that it looks gross, etc.
Well guess what society? I am not dedicating my life to this in an attempt to be accepted. I do not care about being popular. I do not care if you think i am beautiful. I do this for me, and its what I want.
I will NEVER cut down to 150 lbs and shredded (upper body only ofcourse) so that I can recieve more attention from people I want nothing to do with.
When I went through basic at Fort Knox, I ended up weighing in the 160-165 range. I was shredded. I can't ever remember being that lean. I could see the shape of every muscle, every groove in my abs, and veins EVERYWHERE.
I hated my body. All I saw was a skinny little POS that I couldn't wait to get away from.

I hear ya man, but this is what the girls drip over... I aways here girls say "I know this cuy, hes so hot and muscular" or "I love a muscular body like that" when really they just mean really lean...
on a side not, the skinnier you stay, the larger your cock looks compared to your legs =)

I don't care what society says. I can deadlift 515 and they can't. (it's a big deal to me, I've been working at breaking 500 forever)
I've never been one to change how I look in order to get laid, my attitude and the way I carry myself takes care of the *****-getting part of my life.

give me a break! that is the most god awful exercise routine i've ever seen! Rubber bands? c'mon! let's get real. the only time that dude used rubberbands is for this video. did you see his one arm curls? all bent over like that??
and dude, when I'm on my harley, the babes just want to hop on and have a good time. You don't have to look like that to get pusssy! (I know, I'm married, but I still like to flirt with the ladies!!)

The guy is probably natural first off, and if he wasn't as lean as he was he would probably walk around at 180-185 lbs or so. What I mean is if the guy had no visible abs and was just a guy who lifted weights he would be around 185 lbs, like most people who lift weights. He is just taking the route of cutting up as much as he can, but if that guy started eating more and bulking he'd look totally different.
Here is the reality of the situation, the guy probably wants to be bigger but 2 things are holding him back, #1- $$$ #2- Genetics, so he's just doing what he can realistically.

I dont know what is so wrong with that guy. For someone who more than likely is natural and still really young he has great conditioning. Sure he isnt big but its obvious he has put time into it

I'd like to look like him but at 270 lbs. Maybe 2-3% more bf, I wouldn't want to try to maintain that year round.
