Lightbulb Ask Mr.Rose any Science/Maths/Engineering/Chemistry/Physics Question.

Good-morrow Gentlemen and Ladies... who am i kidding?, Gentlemen.

Many of you might know me as AR's resident nerd (amongst other things). I am currently undertaking a double bachelors, honors degree in Engineering: Aerospace Mechatronic Engineering, and Science: Bio-molecular Genetic Engineering. Being half way through my course i would love to have a stick poked at me and to revise anything i have forgot and to have a go at anything you guys throw at me.

So boys and girls if you have Questions you want to throw my way in regards to physics, chemistry, biology (general, I'm not that good with the human body... yet), maths, engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil, hell any! ) then do it!

Please don't ask me questions about your car, even though as with my degree I am doing mechanical engineering, that entail detailed machines, not your car! I am not a Mechanic.

This thread was inspired by Igifuno's failed attempt to outsmart me in the field of cell division, .

    So time for round two!

So try keep this serious. For more complex maths questions, give me a day or two, so i can write it out, scan it and upload it.

    Have fun!

If a train full of construction workers leaves Chicago traveling to Louiville at 10:30 am, and a train full of Lumberjacks leave Louiville traveling to Chicago at 11:15 am, and the Chicago train fails to switch tracks at 12:00 noon, and they crash, how many of the survivors will DSM try to have sex with?

Mr Rose, why is it that the older a woman gets the more her bodies parts get affected by gravity and slowly move downward, but the older I get the more my manly part keeps going up?

How does the Harrp array near the north pole have a far more dangerous purpose than many might expect? For several years now world governments have been seeding the atmosphere with micro fine metal particles. Known to some as chemtrails. These particles are high enough in the atmosphere to remain suspended. They make an effective "screen". As we all know metal is a conductor. Electrical, magnetic and frequency.

Charged particles will stream into the earth, changing the makeup of everything on the planet. Some know of this as the ascension process.
The problem with ascension, is there are those that do not wish this to happen. This is where the Harrp project and chemtrails come into play.
The Harrp is a extremely large frequency amplifier. When it is activated it will affect the metal micro particles, creating (in essence) a force shield around the planet. Meant to block the charged particles from the center of the galaxy. Therefore disallowing our ability to ascend.

I don't know how we can stop this injustice, but some how we must.

The TCA cycle (not the kerbs cycle, I'm not american, ), aka the tricarboxylic acid cycle named hence due to citrate, an important intermediate in the process.

    Ok,

    1) In the cytoplasm (liquid inside a cell), through a process known as glycolysis, glucose (C6H12O6) is partially broken down into pyruvate (C3H3O3).
    2) IF oxygen is present then an oxygen radical attacks the free electron the the tail end of pyruvate hence forming a more stable CO2 molecule. This must happen in the mitochondria of a cell. Acetaldehyde, one of the most important aldehydes in nature then forms from the removal of the C, O atoms.
    3) Now a VERY important coenzyme known as Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, (which i had to google to know how to spell because i just call it NAD+) then attaches itself to the Acetaldehyde molecule because NAD+ will readily accept high energy electrons due to valence configuration.
    4) This molecule is very amazing as it can form redox reactions. Why are redox reactions so cool? It acts as a neucleophile and will readily accept free electrons, this means energy, this means life. Redox agents will both OXIDIZE and REDUCE!! how cool is that. Which means it can transport free electrons from one molecule to another and reuse itself, kind of how cal can reuse himself 5x in a row... beast.
    5) Now this molecule NADH will reduce itself again to form NAD+, and repeat. THis new molecule is now called Acetyl COA.
    6) Now an enzyme known as citric synthase combines the molecule with H2O and oxaloacetate transferring the carbon acetyl group to the oxaliacetate hence forming citrate (citric acid cycle!!!!)
    7) An enzyme known as aconitase then removes a H2O molecule from the citrate to form cis-aconitate. THe enzyme then procedes to move hte molecule to the c-3 carbon atom this forming isocitrate.
    8) Now another enzyme known as isocitrate dehydrogenase then removes a CO2 molecule from the isocitrate and remember that amazing NADH molecule? It now transfers its free electron with a H+ ion to the isocirtate to form Alpha-ketoglutarate.
    9) Now an alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase enzyme complex along with another NAD (told you it was amazing because its back again! ) and coenzyme-A remove a CO2 molecule from the alpha-ketoglutarate, and then the NAD takes the free hydrogen+ molecule, thus forming NADH again (fvck i love this bad boy it keeps having its way with the free electrons). Then the CO2 deprived Apha-ketoglutarate molecule combines with the coenzyme-A to form succinyl COA.

NOOOOW the fun begins. SO by no your going, WTF? or you asking me where ATP gets involved. Now this is where ATP has its fun!

    10) now we know nan enzyme is only an enzyme if it returns to its normal state, so now coenzyme-A must convert from succinyl COA back to its normal form. So what happens is remember how that NAD took the hydrogen from alpha-ketoglutarate, well a GDP molecule gets involved with the help of the succinyl COA coenzyme, and donates one of its Hydrogen from a phosphate group to the succinyl COA, thus forming coenzyme-A as it removes the succinate sugar from it. THis phosphate then, without a electron joins with the GDP to make GTP (guanine tri phosphate)
    11) NOOOOOW this GTP redily covnerts to ATP (yay finally)
    12) Now we need to get things back into motion and finish the cycle, now a FAD molecule comes into play and steals 2 hydrogens from the succinate forming FADH2. THis FADH2 molcule now can also produce a ATP. wow how amazing, now thats double the ATP, smart body ay? The succiante then covnerts to fumarate. This all happens with the succinate dehydrogenase enzyme.
    13) now the fumerase enzyme combines a H2O mlolecule with the fumarate to form malate.
    14) Now NAD comes into the picture AGAIN, with the help of malic dehydrogane enzyme to steal more electrons to form NADH.
    15) the malate sugar now converts to oxaloacetate.
    16) remember oxaloacetate???? from like step 4 or 5? So now we get mroe glucose, hence for pyruvate and EVERYTHING STARTS AGAIN!!

Ok this took me forever to write up. Have fun reading!

Over age fibers in the skin called collagen loose their elasticity due to the breakdown of hydrogen bonds within the structure. The body forgets how to repair itself. This effect can be stopped with CONSTANT lifelong exercise and skin care (aka moisturize). once your skin sags, its too late. The amount of lipids in the epidermis also reduces, thus reducing the suppleness of the skin.

Your man part keeps going up and up because as you get older, the age gap between you and jailbait increases, thus increasing your desire for jailbait.

There is, there could be, there isn't. No one knows. I should of stated no theoretical Physics because as stated it is just theory, there is n proof. People try use a phenomenon of red and blue shift to determine the movement of planets, but it is impossible.

So we all know backholes are defined as super massive stars that have collapsed on itself and is so dense that gravity is unimaginably large. What theory suggests is that back holes that are close together, will inevitable pull each other together. This is gravity at work. So at any given time there would be hundreds of thousands of black holes in any given galexy, What happens is that over billions of years these black holes combine and create super-massive black holes, that is off course if enough matter is collected. Thus, theory states that all mater in that galaxy will be pulled towards the biggest black hole. Hence why they believe there is a black hole in every galaxy.

It is all just theory. They try apply earthly phenomenons such as the doopler effect to black holes and use that data, and hope the maths is the same. We don't know enough about anything to assume this.

This is why it is all just theory and not fact. There are many who don't even believe in black holes.

I should state to keep conspiracy theory's out of this thread. I believe in many conspiracy theory's but they are just theory's.

Firstly metal conductivity is due to an phenomenon known as electron clouds. metal can only conduct if it is within ionic contact of another cloud. You would not even be able to fathom the amount of metal needed to suspend in the atmosphere to be able to great a conductive blanket.

Why would they need a conductive blanket when the ionosphere is amazing at that?

For metal to remain in orbit around the earth for even a short period (aka 24 hours), it needs to be something like 25000 miles above the surface of the earth.

This means that every time the metal particles fall back to earth, they have to collect them again and shoot it back into the atmosphere. Do you not think this is a bit tedious?

My final verdict is that there is not enough metal on the earth, of any kind, even iron, to create a shield on this earth. Also the sheer quantity needed to create a shield that can conduct is unfathomable.

Ive heard of conspiracy theorys that governments are seeding metals into the atmosphere in order to create some sort of population control, but this one is a bit odd.

I understand your belief in ascension, and the abilty to progress in mental power, but we have yet been able to provide a study where humans can willingly control the flow of bioelectricity within the body and brain. There has been a few studies showing how some monks can control the flow of nerve channels in the brain governing emotions, which is impressive.

True, however, gravity is the weakest of all forces known to man, no one realizes just how weak gravity is. I mean, you can jump of the floor with what? 100 newtons? That's crazy. If your feet were magnets and the ground was metal, you would not be able to jump. Electromagnetism trumps gravity in strength. Also gravity is infinite. Does not matter how face you are from the planet earth, the gravitational strength will be proportional to the square of the distance. Gravity never ends, ever, no energy does.

No one knows if the universe is still expanding or contracting, or moving at all inwards or outwards from a source... or two, or infinite.

That's the problem, no one knows. We know nothing outside out solar system, nothing tangible that is.

Lets see if you can asnwer some of my organic chem homework....

An 850mg tablet containing an unknown quantity of Vitamin C (molar mass 176.1 g mol-1) was ground to powder and transferred to a weighing boat. The crushed tablet was found to weigh 750mg. This was quantitatively transferred to a 100.0 mL volumetric flask and 25.00 mL of this solution was titrated against a 0.04012 M solution of iodine. 15.25 mL of the idodine solution was used to reach the endpoint with vitex indicator.

What was the quantity of Vitamin C in the original tablet?

    Easy. .

Why was the weighted tabled reduced by 100mg? Can't you do this without loosing any .

Ok i need to make some assumption because there is not enough info there. I'm assuming your 0.o4012 M solution of iodine is 0.04012 M per L. And im assuming your iodometric analysis involves the following reaction C6H8O6 + I2 → C6H6O6 + 2I- + 2H+.

Why you are using a solution f iodine instead of iodate is beyond me, . It would be nice to know exaclt what iodine salt was used. Either way, lets begin.

    750mg of Vitc in 100mL
    so a 25mL solution = 187.5mg

    Iodine solution = 0.04012 M per L
Endpoint was reached at 15.25mL (so I'm assuming blue starch indication was achieved, um yeh you never mentioned you added starch!!!! )

That means that in 15.25mL there is 0.001003 moles.

Thus using C6H8O6 + I2 → C6H6O6 + 2I- + 2H+, we can see that the ratio of VitC reaction with Iodine is a molar ratio of 1:1.

So that means 0.001003 moles of VitC reacted.

    So:

    =0.001003 x 176.12 (MM of ascoric acid)
    = 0.17664836 grams per 0.1875 grams.

that means 0.9421246% is ascorbic acid.

so that means the 750mg's obtained contained 706.59mg (2DP) of ascorbic acid.

which means the original tablet had 800.81mg (2DP).

Empty contents of medicine cabinet and cabinet below kitchen sink into boiling flask. Add some acetone, strike anywhere matches, and rat poison from the garage. Cook.
