    what to look for?

well right now im taking a EAS protein, but my question is what exactly do one should look out as far as protein shakes go? I do count my cals intake for my diet, do cals from fat matter? any input is greatly welcome.

The thing im looking for with protein shakes is protein.

Fat cals matter and are to be counted..
Do not ask me for a source check.

All calories matter. EAS is a good product. Costco has a good whey isolate...
6lbs = $30. I think the technology is such, that there aren't too many bad protein powders out there anymore. I'm assuming you are making your own and not buying the stuff already made up in a can?

When I do use a protein powder, I like to keep fats and carbs to a minimum so I can put them in using the sources I want. Just make sure you are not using shakes to meet your daily requirements... real food as often as possible.

I hardly use protein powders now, I make my own shakes with skim milk, dry curd cottage cheese, fruit if Im not cutting... pretty much anything you want at that point.

I like the ON products, and they also have a low carb, 30g/scoop powder that I just discovered with BCAAs... I do agree, however in getting the low carb product so you can add other items contingent on your goals.
