    Lifting Milestones

Not sure if this is the right spot move if needs be

For me it has to be from last week when I hit on flat DB pressing 52.5kg for 6 reps and 42.5 for 6 reps on DB shoulder pressing.

And doing 120kg flat benching for reps Couldn't believe it, this is coming from starting 3 years ago with 7kg DB's and barely being able to lift them. Well happy Never thought I'd get them to be honest. Also being able to do some nice weight on back but for some reason deadlifting is lacking but slowly getting there.

What are your milestones? The ones where ye never thought you'd get there.

    Damien.

Cheers man The main reason to posting this thread was to hear of other peoples milestones aswell. I always thought 40kg DB's flat benching was a mad weight now I'm popping them out for reps can't believe it.

    It's a good feeling isn't it?

When I first hit 500lbs on my deadlift, I felt like superman. I believe I was 200lbs at the time too. Not too shabby.

Dam that's a serious weight. I'd love to hit 360lb's or 180kg for the non imperials here

My buddy get's close to 220kg and he's only 200lb's too maybe a bit less he has a massive back to be fair to him.

Some guys are just gifted with the ability to pick up almost anything. Konstantinov is a prime example.

    My milestones:
First time I did 315lbs (143kg) on bench press I felt like I had "arrived"
Then when I hit 365lbs (165.5kg) i felt like I was part of a select few
A few days ago I hit 385 on bench, and yesterday i made it to 395lbs (179kg), so if i can hit the BIG 405lbs (184kg) I will feel like a monster! lol, Oh I have weighed 195lbs (88.5kg) for all of this.

I never max but I was excited when I started repping 225lbs for sets of 10. I've done 275lbs for 4 reps. I weighed 185lbs

I have blown out my back so many times, and had so many deadlift related problems, that I only pull 500. Which considering I bench almost 400, makes me feel pretty sad.

Personally I would rather have the gift of DLing an insane amount instead of benching. There is nothing like picking up dead weight off the floor. I wouldn't be ashamed if I were you.

Good idea, don't let those kids see what you're working with. For all they know you could pushing 5 plates, suckers.

Pulling is fun, pushing is funner outside of the gym

I grunt like I'm pushing 5 plates but then they turn on the lights and see me pushing 135.
