Put these 4 building blocks of BBing in order..
Put the following four building blocks of BBing in order. Start with the most critical:
A.) Diet
B.) Training
C.) Genetics
D.)Gear
Here are my thoughts: GENETICS, Diet, Training, Gear.
I still feel that the guy with outstanding genetics and a medicore diet will look better then the guy with average genetics and an immaculate diet.
Just my .02
I am curious to see what everyone else thinks.Last edited by Gaspari1255; 08-05-2010 at 11:17 PM.

I've got a buddy who has never juiced and is just stupid strong and big. Sits at about 14% bf and eats once a day usually taco bell.
I eat like a mad man and train my ass off and can't keep up.
So I'd have to agree with your ordering.

well obvious genetics is gonna be number 1 my boy hit 1 cycle and ate like shit and got incredible gains...i mean a snickers for lunch no joke. i think training is second because with out training your diet is going no where lol. so diet is third and gear is always last cuz u need training and diet down first... IMO

I would agree with genetics first. I remember a few years back I worked with this guy who was just jacked. His back was amazing, very thick, and legs like a young white bo jackson. I asked someone what he does and they said "no he's a lazy ****. He used to play baseball in high school but thats it"

Not sure if anyone already mentionned this, but I would put "rest/sleep" right after diet... train or Overtrain" all you want, you dont rest, you dont grow... PERIOD

While I agree genetics are needed to go far in bodybuilding..... I have also seen some guys who aren't genetically gifted do well. These are the guys who run higher dosages, their diets are perfect, and they work their asses off.
Will they ever be Mr. O? Probably not..... but they still look better than 95% of people out there.....

Good genentics piss me off like nothing else does. I remember this black guy came into my campus gym back in April. He was probably around 6'1" 210lbs at 5 or 6% bf. The whole gym just stopped and looked at him. I am thinking to myself, "wow this god damn freak show must have been training since was 14 non stop."
Well, he goes over to the flat bench and puts on 185lbs. Does 4 reps and drops it on himself while trying to get the 5th one up. I run over, grab it off of him. He responds with "thank you, I was really trying to get that 5th one up, I really wanna hit 225 on the bench within the next few months....
I asked him about his diet, he responds with "Well I stopped eating McDonalds last week because summer is around the corner."
So lets recap here, 6'1", 205lbs+, at 6% bf, who eats fast food daily and can't even bench 225lbs, yet looks better than 95% of us here......Fvck my life....Amen

yeah I'd agree with the majority, genetics are SO important, and frustrating for those of us that have just average ones.

A) masturbate
B) take a dump
C) prepare for gym
D) find a reason not to go
* Some people will combine A+B which is good time management.
