What are you favourite type of books??
Im not sure if there is already a book thread out here, couldnt find it so thought id post anyways. ( Oh and ignore my wording/grammer ino this is big in this place )
Im looking for a book, i want something to help me relax a little. The thing is i dont no how to choose one, because its just reaction to walk over to the crime section, or the sports section, i know enough about that sort of thing and its not really what im looking to read. Iv read only one book and it was on crime, which i was very interested in at the time. I dont want another book of that sort as it would be like reading on the past. Im wanting something out of ordinary for me...something that people wouldnt expect me to be reading. I supose im looking at story books.
Ino some members like reading BJJ one of those i think and others...
I supose what im asking is how do you choose a book.
If any of you guys read, what do you read and why?
I was told to buy a book along time ago on here and i havent as yet, but im wanting to as i find reading to be relaxing and think it could help me chillout a little at times
Thanks Gents

Very interesting and they are hard to put down.

Pop up books.
Seriously, I go by friends recommendation. Stephen King has a few books out called "The Gunslinger" series... Not typical SK... Not scary. I'd check those out.

The one I am reading at the Moment is "Snuff"
The setting is a porn studio.
An aging porn star is out for her big last hurrah. She is going to bang 600 dudes in the same day on film. Breaking the record.
Narative is From 3 different guys perspective.
They are all kind of dark humor. Pahluniuk is a very intelligent guy. And a former aas user.

I'm into educational books.
I'm all about getting rich.
Try "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Will change your whole outlook on your finances and life in general. And it's not boring blabber either. He makes in interesting.

When I was a kid I obsessively read about serial killers to the point that there isn't really anything new to see on the subject. Now it's true war and crime stories, mostly. I also like to read kid fiction like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and the sort. Sometimes I feel that I have enough real problems without including reality or anything heavy in my reading material.

Do you like Star Wars? If so read Darth Bane:Path of destruction. It's the life of the greatest Sith Lord ever, a point of view never seen in the movies before.
Are you into vampires and supernaturals? Many people are into this lately. I recomend Ann Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. Start with book 1, Interview with the Vampire. Books 2 & 3 are epic.
What do you like?

I actually have a hard time reading books. I love to read, and love to learn, but I like to "get to the point" so to speak, so I read magazines, online articles, etc.
The only book I have ever been able to stay interested in long enough to read from cover to cover was "The Guv'Nor" which if you don't know, is a biography on the life of Lenny McLean (I'm a huge fan of old school bare knuckle boxing)

Dec do you live in Ireland? I am guessing Ireland or England if you are aware of so many books based on old school bouncers and bare knuckle boxers.
