Apparently after all votes were validated overnight, we lost our 2nd position and was outnumbered by another cause which pushed us back to 3rd.
Unfortunately, we did not win like it appeared when voting ended.
Very sad ending to our August running, but thank you everyone, who helped by casting your votes and spreading the word.
Perhaps we have a better chance now for September as we are back in the contest this Month to give it one more shot.

Rett Syndrome is taking my girl away from me, and she needs the cure found to work in mice, but not yet approved for humans yet. The only thing in the way is more funding and this is where Pepsi and you are stepping up.
Today is the final day of the Pepsi Refresh project for our August running. We have held a 1st position all month until yesterday. As I speak we are 3rd and 2nd and 1st spots are worthy causes as well and in fact they ere in ******** with us, but somehow they passed us once we pulled them up behind us with our voters.
Now we need at least a 2nd or 1st place spot to get the 250k Pepsi will give our researchers for a cure for Rett Syndrome which my daughter has and is a very life threatening condition. Her and over 30,000 other girls in the US are fighting for their lives while researchers find new ways to help them. Successful treatments have been found indeed, but it is expensive to get through the FDA approval process for approving the drugs that help.
Please help us by voting today. Every single vote counts as I believe that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd spots are all only a handful of votes away from each other.
If you would like to help, please do so by taking 5 seconds of your life to vote which could mean saving my daughter's entire life.
