to know the real truth you need to read the founders actual writings to know there
religious beliefs. as for being racists not true most tried to do away with slavery and

Ive heard this and worse over and over from UK friends. Many are looking to leave the UK because they feel it's to late to fix it. They say to many Muslim have positioned themselves politically, changing many of the laws to only benefit their culture and many places are becoming unlivable if you expect to be treated fairly or free.

Sorry to hear things are going that way but I hope people will open their eyes before it's to late for us/US also.

I just wonder how many mosques are in NY? Is it coincidence that they choose to build a mosque so close to ground zero or are there just so many mosques that building one that close is inevitable?? I have a feeling that its no coincidence. I think it is a deliberate slap in the face. I could be wrong as I have not a clue how many mosques arin NY, but Im fairly certain that there are so many that the one two blocks away was inevitable.

They could be wanting to build a mosque there as a way to show their religion is peaceful, that the extremists distort their views, and as a way to pay respect to those who died.

It seriously boggles my mind that we claim to have a free society, free from oppression and bigotry, yet we throw a fit when a group wants to build a church.

Oh by the way, it's also a community center, to be used by various groups and childrens advocacy groups.

I wonder why there isn't any outcry when a new Protestant church goes up close to a hospital or clinic that performs abortions... After all, it's the Protestants that bomb those buildings.

You're not against Muslims having equal rights, you're just against them building a church in Manhattan close to the WTC site.

And for the record, "them, they, those, muslims, etc"....

Those are AMERICANS. They aren't some radical group of ak 47 packing towel heads. They are your neighbors, your politicians, your school teachers, your city employees, your policeman, firefighters, among other things.
