    Scammers

I havent seen on this site how to spot a scammer. Is this something that is not to be talked about. if so ill take this thread off. If it is something that can be talked about i think this is a good topic. whats the reason why we are here. we are here to learn from each other.

What tips can you give to spot a Scammer.

Since we don't discuss sources here at all it doesn't really come up, being so closely related. I think the mods may frown on this topic for that reason. We don't discuss how to find/purchase steroids, and saying how not to is sort of the same thing....

I'll just say one thing. If something looks too good to be true it probably is.

    T-MOS (RIP) made a thread on this that's in the Q&A stickies -- http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...to-get-Scammed)

Two sure strikes that have been posted repeatedly; If they take plastic, and if they contact you. There's a TON of information on the boards about scammers and how to spot them; do your homework on the boards here; it's all there.

I literally spent a month lurking without posting just reading the various threads here; every question I've ever thought to ask has an answer here.

Yea brother..if somebody emails you trying to sell you AAS...that is a red flag. It almost happened to me when I was a new member. And don't ever make a post stating that you cannot find AAS. It draws the bad guys in.

Eventually you will learn where to go and what to look for. It just takes time and patience.

Scammers prey on someone's weakness. If you have no weakness you can not get scammed. It might be a 'too good to be true offer' it might be your sense of desperation for something, it might be they pick up on the fact that your young and therefore naive compared to a more mature person in their 40's. Most sammers don't have a ton of patience either, they are looking for a quick score. So if you keep dragging out a convo with questions and doubts, etc they will likely figure the time they are invested in you is not paying off and cut their losses. Yes, I am an expert in spotting and drawing out sammers. If they give u no info to feel them out with it is much, much harder, if not impossible to spot one though. Talk to them long enough and when a contradiction reveals itself (after all if ur telling the truth you don't have to 'remember' what u said b/c it's the simple truth so u know it, scammers are lairs, if u have enough convo's with them they will typically contradict themself... at that point I would cut bait and run regardless. It's the same way you spot undercover cops.
