That game is such a fail on DICE/EA's part. I wouldn't waste a cent on that game. I talking to the dev on the UK forums and they said MOH was developed to directly compete with call of duty : black ops which is a joke because by the demos/videos i see COD:black is going to blow MOH out of the water. DICE/EA is better known for their battlefield series style game.

I played the demo for about an hour before i uninstalled it. No thank you.

Let me know how it is Moto. Times are tough so I think Im gonna save my money and get GT 5 when it comes out in Nov plus I played the shit out of Modern Warfare 2. Might give first person shooters a break for awhile. There is always Christmas around the corner though.

If you enjoy the call of duty feel of a FPS game then wait for call of duty black ops. I believe nov 9th is the release date.

I like the simulation feel of Battlefield/MOH as opposed to the movie-style action of Call of Duty. I haven't played online yet, but I will say I prefer Bad Company 2 to MW2. I like the expansive maps and the non-Halo style gameplay. MW2 got to ridiculous with people running around using n00b tubes and rocket launchers all the time, jumping over grenades, rapid firing .50 cal sniper rifles, etc. Being that Dice did the multiplayer for BC2 and MOH, I'll probably like the multiplayer.

So far I'm playing the campaign and it's pretty sweet. After this first level I'll check out the multiplayer.

Ok...so I played about 10 rounds of multiplayer. I played this game's version of "rush" in which one team defends two objectives, and the other team attacks and has to destroy the two objectives. The maps are not as large as Bad Company 2, but not as close as MW2. The action is fast paced as in MW2, but as far as I can tell right now does not allow for Halo-style gameplay, which is a plus for me. There is a weapon upgrade and customization system where you unlock accessories and what-not by leveling up your class. There's also this thing called "score-chain" where if you get a certain number of kills in a row without dying you get to call in mortar strikes and the like.

I don't like the way these games are going. This whole modern warfare stuff is lame. They should have stuck with the WWII theme...

I like bad comp 2 more than COD. I can’t stand shooters were you can be running a 40 yard sprint and still fire a rifle accurately.
I have some high hopes for the online multi player of the MOH.

MOH is a fail in my book (i played on PC). BFBC2 is ok but still needs a lot of work and patching. I am praying they don't $@@# up BF3 like these other two games.

What exactly do you not like about MOH that makes you think it's a failure? I haven't bothered much with the single player campaign but the multiplayer is very solid.

Its a mind numbing run and gun shooter game just like call of duty. Things that i can't get past: 1) There is no bullet drop. 2) There is no recoil in the guns (is this 1990?) 3) The maps are VERY small and linear (They are so small you can actually trap the enemy at their spawn point, like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYqs82RQgvE ) 4) Guns for each side (US and "opposing forces) are all rated the same just skinned differently

Does the game have potential ? Yes but IMO this game was puked out by DICE WAY too early in hopes of trying to grab people from buying call of duty black ops on Nov 9th which wont happen. By the end of December most people will have already forgotten about this game.

    1) Yeah that is a let down. I thought the sniping mechanic would be like in BC2 which is awesome. Sniping in MoH took me a bit to get used to, but I find it fun now.

    2) I find that the guns handle really well, just preference I guess.

    3) I agree with you here. I was expecting massive maps like in BC2, but nope...most of them are tiny unless you are playing Combat Mission where the map progresses forward, even then the areas where you can effectively operate are very small.

    4) I agree with you here as well, but I guess that was to prevent a situation like in MAG where one faction had overpowered weapons and is always at the top, because everyone picks the faction with the most powerful weapons, thus making the one faction always the winning faction. Takes the fun out of the game.

    5) As far as the game having potential, thats a mute point as it's already been released. All they can do now is release some new maps, weapons and skins.

I think what they were doing was trying to lure MW2 type players away from that series and got rid of a lot of the things those people don't like about BC2...they failed a bit IMO. They should have stuck with the BC2 type of gameplay, which is something they do well, rather than try to be MW2, which is something we now know they don't do well.

As far as being able to pin down teams in spawn points, I experienced this yesterday. I was the deciding factor in this particular match, and was only using a sniper rifle from one spot on my team's side of the map. Of course it helped that they didn't learn to move once they spawned. They would all just take up positions immediately surrounding the spawn point, making them easy targets as my view of their side of the map was limited to that one part...if they had just left once they spawned it would've been different.

I spoke to dev on another UK forum and they said this game was aimed at trying to get people who are use to the "call of duty" experience. Again it was a failed attempt. Not sure if you every played battlefield 2 but that a game. Awesome game play, HUGE maps, jets , choppers that don't feel like flying tanks. I played that game for 4 years before getting bored of it. I played BFBC2 for 2 months and became bored. I played MOH beta for hours and got bored. No way in hell i am voting for dice, will my dollar for a crippled game like this. I am not really a call of duty style player but i might buy it for two reasons: Help kill time and just to spite DICE.

So...EA apparently released a patch that NERFs the sniper rifles. It now takes multiple shots from a BOLT ACTION rifle to down a target. Ridiculous. All you can do as a sniper is hope that your target is already hurt and will go down with one shot, or hope he doesnt move after you shoot him, so you have time to reload and reacquire the target. The reasoning behind this is that people were complaining about being killed by snipers. No shit! The NERFd sniper class now allows for retard style game play where you can run around like a maniac on a battle field with no sort of discipline what so ever. They said they wanted to bring the sniper class in line with the other 2 classes, which is all fun and dandy, except snipers don't get automatic weapons.

This title was hyped as being realistic and yada yada...and it was pretty damn good until this ****ing patch. Thank God our soldiers don't have to hit a target multiple times before rendering him ineffective as a threat.

I'm ditching this game when Black Ops comes out. Fck you, EA.

Not unless you can pirate it. I'm pissed that I paid $60 for this game.

Well, I am in Afghanistan and pretty bored. May just pay the $60 for a game to take up time. Does it require Steam or any internet connection to install such as Fallout New Vegas?
