    AR Site has been super slow...

    ever since the format change of this site....pages load very slow...after posts it also seems to be loading and or causing double posts...

    its the only site that i have a problem on...

    anyone have similar probs and or suggestions/fixes?

    I too have noticed this... this site isnt what it use to be. I think age is catching up with a lot of these guys and combine that with the fact that they were not that intelligent to begin with, we are dealing with some real low mental capabilities and capacities here. Dont be too hard on them though, they are still good guys, and hey, it only makes us look even smarter in comparison.

    dont use the search often so havent notice that just posting and the page saying to wait between posts when i've only made one post and it just sits there loading or then take a while when loading new pages as well

    A few times I have noticed the slowness as well. I figured it was because I use my Verizon card at night.

    jpk I'm with you.. its been extremely slow for me as well since the updates. I'll usually close the page since it takes so long.. took me almost 10 mins to get into the lounge..

    I wasn't posting back when the update was made but I was reading threads almost everyday and definitely noticed a significant slowing in almost everything.
    It logs in slower, opens pages wayyy slower, closes slower (sometimes the screen will just lock up and freeze before it goes away), and even scrolls slower. As I scroll up &
    down pages it sticks and jumps, then overscrolls the second any speed comes back... just so it can stick again.

    When I saw how bad the forum/site was I was about 90% sure I wasn't coming back to this shithole. I don't mean shithole as in content, I mean the interface/operation of the
    site in general has gone to shit.
    The real problem is that vbulletin sucks as a company are a bunch of arrogant greedy bastards. With each upgrade they have gotten more and more buggy and this latest version never seems to have even left the beta stage.
    Thats what happens when you are the most popular forum and care more about getting paid than actually satisfying your customers... not to mention the customer service
    is just as horrendous as the design. So many forums are using this junk now and so many forums now look like the same, monotonous blob of crap.

    Not to mention these are just the changes most people are able to notice. Whens the last time someone tried resending their password? Someone told me it sends you the wrong
    password now which leads to failed logins, will have to try for myself. But comeon AR you are better than this. If ANYTHING you're paying for this crap at least pick a better theme.

    edit: I also wanted to mention for people who are sick of v-bulletin NOW, just wait till another 4-6 years pass. I guarantee its only going to get worse and worse.
