my best friend is being harassed on face book and email....

anyone have exp with getting an IP address and finding out who this person is..

its getting pretty bad and ruining his marriage



please if you can help with the solution listed above.. dont want cops involved

DELETE the FVCKING facebook and change your email! How is having a facebook so important that you'll chance it ruining a marriage. People act like they can't live without twitter and facebook. Facebook is the devil.

^x2 agree! I had this young thing chasing after me a few years back, and she convinced me I needed to do face book. Primarily so she could email me. But then she said my page was too plain. needed some pics. So i give her the password so she can play house and spruce things up. next time i go in there, i see pics and wall paper and if i'm not mistaken there were flowers in the vase next to the window and a goddam roast in the oven! My point is, i just wanted to see the email. So I close the whole thing down and walk away. It aint worth all the hassle!!!

If deleting facebook is not an option you can block them, also you can stop people posting on your wall etc so nobody can see what is being said

I think its important to see people in person and if not see them then call them its much more personal. My friends and family know I care because I take the time out to call them if I can't drop by to see them. Just delete it.

Sounds like you're about to make a bad decision and get yourself arrested. Why not just involve the police if it's that serious? I guarantee if you show up on this persons door step then police will be involved and you will not be justified.

Yes there are ways. You can even send denial of service attacks and cause all kinds of mayhem using multiple anonymous IP Addresses bouncing all over eastern europe. I wont go into it here. The best I'll say is check out some hacker forums. If it is doable, which it is, you should find what you need there. However, with that said be aware internet laws are changing daily, especially in regards to online harrassing. And be careful of some of the email crack programs you may have to download as they could be booby trapped. It's best to find someone you know and trust to find this info for you.

As Tiger said get a new e-mail and if you have to have facebook set the privacy settings so only your friends can see anything. This is really easy to accomplish.

deactivate: keeps the page alive but not visible and available and ready to renew
delete: means gone
