Given our population compared to those in countries where it's legal, it's kind of hard to say. Americans have always been the type to push the envelope in whatever field we are interested in, so I would not bet against it.

Since it's illegal here most people consider any use reckless. In the countries where it's legal people don't think too much about it.

In my eyes if you look at user to population ratio then I'm sure we're all pretty even.

And another thing, IMO in this country and possibly all others people are uneducated in AAS , it's all stories and wives tales, that's why we all have to come to a nearly underground forum like this to educate ourselves. I mean it's legal to possess steroids in our country but very few actually now what to do with them, yes that was me included also until I read up on here, although I had been offered them with very little information forthcoming, I read it all the time " did a stupid first cycle back when I was younger".

So are people reckless on purpose ? Or are they just miseducated and don't under stand the dangers ? I think it's the latter.

I like where this it going. Not caring about the consequences often comes from not really knowing what they are.

Thats a good point the nature of them being illegal has significant implications on the way culture will view steroid use in general.
And I also believe on top of that what LGM said about pushing the envelope is also very true. I have a friend specifically who is always trying
to "push the envelope", and a lot of times I consider his cycling ethics quite reckless, but thats based on the assumption that he wants
to live untill he's 40. Its really not reckless at all if his goal is to die of liver failure by that age (he commonly stacks orals for long periods
    of time).

I wouldnt say we are more reckless, we just take a more agressive approach toward everything we do, this is why we dominate the world

less education on them due to criminalization = more reckless. Has nothing to do with the users themselves.
