muscle memory after long lay offs?

What kind of gains have u guys seen after long lay offs? I use to weigh 205 when i was serious about lifting, droped to like 180ish a year or so later with runs to 205 everytime id get on a cycle. Now however i had a long time away from working out and have droped to 155#. Now my natural weight has been around 180 anytime i was working out. How quick assuming great bulking diet can one expect to grow with muscle memory? Is the muscle memory even true? Any experiences? I am hoping to get to like 170 in short time, but just seeing if im dreaming.

Muscle memory is real but the timing all depends on your own body. We are all different and so will be our results. Muscle memory will help you get back to where to were a little faster.

Muscle memory is pretty potent in some. With my diet in order and a little help from super supplements, my weight has jumped pretty quick to where I have been heaviest. It does take 1-2 months, but there is no way you could build that amount of LBM (in my experience) in that short a time frame. I'd talking 10-15lbs.

muscle memory, in my opinion is better than steroids .. i put on 20lbs in a few months just lifting 3 times a week and eating whatever i felt like and chasing it down with a protein shake.. that was after 6 years away from the gym.

Awesome, glad to hear all this. Gives me high hopes of gaining back some of my size in a few months.

Every time I take significant time off and lose my gains, after I begin lifting again for a few months I look better than I did before taking time off. It takes me much longer to gain back strength, though.

yeah i agree with this.. i am bigger than i was years ago but not as strong.. i think strength takes a while to get back.. or at least longer than the size does.

Then I would let my wife stitch you up and you can have sex with her. I think that's a nice gesture.
