Calling all Howard Stern Fans! Haters, go find another thread!
Just wondering who here is a fan of Howard's? I'm 35 and have been an avid listener since the early 90's, but actually remember the old days when my mother was driving me home after (grammar) school and Howard was on WNBC in the afternoons...
Regardless of it ultimately being a comedy show, there are alot of real life topics and issues discussed, and 9 times out of 10, Howard hits it spot on IMO. It's as if he's reading my mind sometimes... we just feel the same way about things. I felt the same way about George Carlin. I agreed with SO much of his ideals, his politics, etc.
If you're a fan of the man, the myth, the living legend, show a lil' respect and drop a post. =)

LoL, I had a feeling the 2 of you would be posting in this thread! Same here man, I made the move over to Sirius with him and am thrilled he signed for another 5 years. But, I know just this will definitely be his last contract... he's not gonna go out like Imus and be some mid-60's wash up. The worst thing that Howard could ever do would be to become a parody of himself. He has to go out on top, with dignity, like Jerry Seinfeld did. I don't know what i'll do without him/my voice of reason, but it'll be the right move IMO.

My 300 dollar my-fi xm to go just shot craps right after the warranty expired. Now I cant listen anymore till I get it replaced.
My apologies for the temp hijack here gbrice but I have to tell you a quick story. After the warraty went out I call xm to ask where to send this my-fi to be repaired, didnt want to discard it after paying over 300 for it and it only being a year old. They tell me to throw it away and buy another onr. That it would be too costly to repair and they dont have anyone who has the knowledge to repair them anyhow. WTF?Last edited by Shol'va; 02-05-2011 at 12:29 PM.

You cant fix them parts cost is rediculous, They are just being honest about buying another one. Buy your next one from bestbuy and get the service plan; if anything goes wrong they will give you a new one.

Yeah stupid me I bought it thinking that just because its an xm product that they would support it, which they said they do till expiration of said warranty. After that your sOL. But it blew my mind that there is no repairing these expensive mama's, that our only recousre is to throw them in the landfill and buy another. Talk about a throw away society.

Ive never actuall sat down and listened to Stern but have been told that his talent is amazing. Seen a few video clips here and there and always see naked half/full naked girls on the set. Lol.

Ill be honest I listened to him every single morning back when I was serving time and I largely attribute my sanity to him. When you hear words like "fvck shit, fvck yo momma, homey be trippn, na mean, i be a gangsta" 24 hours a day you start to think your black and if it wasn't for howard i dont think i would have known how to act white anymore. So yeh hes great lol.

Who is this you're referring to?
LoL there's alot more then just naked women, but yea, it never hurts and is definitely a staple in the show.
The E-Show was kinda lame after a while, but I DO miss the channel 9 show. That was a fvcking GREAT show!
I guess you can't get Verizon FIOS where you are? I see the show all the time with Howard On-Demand.
lol BJ, I haven't been locked up (well, not for any appreciable length of time lol) but I hear you on the sanity thing... I don't know if I ever realized you're from Jersey or not, but I grew up in Elizabeth and spent alot of time in Newark, Jersey City, etc so I heard the same words you did, and Stern always brought me back to 'reality'.
Where are you in NJ? If you don't mind me asking, where did you do time (assuming it was in NJ), Rahway?
