car accident rear ended at red light...thats the good part

So I was rear ended on my way to work in my jeep wrangler by a truck going 40 mph! they hit my rim and tire that was mounted on the back of my wrangler. the insurance company says the rim and tire are fine! would you want to drive on a wheel that totaled a toyota tacoma on impact? yeah, totaled the truck lol. my rear door is dented the tire rack is shattered the rear bumper is plastic with dents holes and scratches and inside the door is a big dent. There is exhaust damage as well and my car just dont drive straight lol. need an alignment.

the universal casulty insurance driver hit me while i was sitting at a red light. talk about not knowing whats coming. i was sent into the intersection and almost side swiped by two cars hahaha. we exchanged insurance crap took pictures yada yada yada. worst part of the day is i still made it to work on time. can you believe that sh*t? wtf

    now the bad part

so today they had an estimator come out today what a total duetsch we got in an argument about the damages while he was taking pictures. i almost took him out back and dropped a 45 plate on his f#cking head!!! and now i know for sure im going to get low balled into the ground real deep, like balls deep. the bbb (better business burearu) ranked universal casualty insurance a F- and they are banned in 3 states. yeah BANNED in 3 states! when was the last time you heard a company being banned from a state! i am dreading dealing with this POS company. you should really google that companies reviews. so now i have to wait for his bullsh&t estimate and take it to an autobody shop to get it corrected and negotiated. It's clear from his description the car is not totaled. You need to use some common sense. If he got rear ended they aren't going to fix a headlight. I don't blame him, i wouldn't feel safe on that tire either. So i would either take it to a tire shop to get FULLY inspected or take matters into my own hands.

Took my car to my place of choice. The shop and the insurance company went back and forth on prices and labor time. They claimed a part that generally takes 2 hours of labor to fix, should only take the shop 30 minutes. Needless to say the work was done and the insurance company gave in.

They are in the business of making money not losing it so if they can get it done for less they can. They dont care if its good work.

Also from being in your situation twice of being rear ended at red lights by cars going 40+, that alignment is probably more than an alignment. Both times i was hit in two separate full size trucks, one by a mini van and the other a small suv, my frame was bent. The minivan required my truck to have to go in multiple times because they couldnt get the frame straightened out. After the 3rd time they decided all of the costs had added up to just say it was totaled

I heard of this happening to other people with the frame being bent and the insurance trying to fix it. IMO if the frame is bent im not taking the car back. I don't care what they say.

People say you can fix a frame but i call BS. Once the foundation is broken the car is totaled .

Get a few estimates from reputable body shops. Have the tire inspected also. If the frame is bent then refuse the truck back. You have the right to do that. I've seen people refuse to take vehicles back of a simple fender bender and there vehicle was written as totaled.

That SUCKS! Take it to a frame specialist as well to get their opinion. I cannot imagine that much energy going into your car...and just disappearing?

If you have your own insurance have them go after the bastards. Start by getting a rental on the other driver's insurance and just keep getting it extended. That will show them.
