Thailand here I come!

Guys mcflys I'd off to thaland with his mrs.. Will be the first time iv gone and I have afew questions!

1. I'm going to Phuket, phi phi and Bangkok.. Staying in very good resorts 4 -5 stars.. How are the gyms in the majority of good resorts? Also is the buffe breaky decent?

2. Any good restraunts any of you guys reccomend? Or to stay away from?

3. I also want to have a look at a pharmacy that sells gear, just for my own interest but I have no idea where the legit 1s are located.

3. Pattaya-from what i've heard

100% correct. Ive been there several times. My first time was October of 2007, 2nd time was December 2007, I couldnt wait to get back. LOL

Taking your wife is probably a good thing if you plan on staying married because if she did not go you would more than likely file for divorce as soon as you got home. Actually this happens a LOT more than you know.... I know several guys who have done just that.

It will be like being in a candy story and not able to sample the good though although being with your wife you will only see a SMALL amount of the eye candy...

As for gear, Bangkok is OK and Pattaya/Jomtien is better. I think it's limited in Phuket but if you ask arounnd especially at the gym you may get pointed in the right place.

As for the food, PLEASE learn to eat what the locals eat. I NEVER eat American/regular food on vacation. You are there to experience the culture and food is part of it. Dont bother with any buffet style food. Find small hole in the wall places that look scary. I have eaten with 4 people, full meals and very good with drinks/pop for $4

If the food is to hot/spicy keep a lime near by and some hot tea, it helps. You will get use to it also, eventually. hehehehe
Visit the local massage places at least ever other day. They give GREAT massage for VERY cheap even without the extras.

BTW the stories you have heard are nothing and nothing will prepare you for the real thing except the experience but that's mostly in Pattaya. It's mardi gras ever night.
This is a decent representation of what it's like on most any given night but you are still not seeing a LOT that is going on like the 100s of clubs on either side of the street with several girls on the outside waving you in and dozens more inside. It's true, it's the opposite of most places. There are 19 girls to every guy more or less.
