Worst days in a while
Recently i was experiencing back pain that lead to numbness in my leg. I get it checked out and find out i have a bulging disc in my L5 and possibly S1. It is pinching the nerve. I find this out yesterday. They put me on a medrol pack and tell me to just take time off.
So i go home last night, back killing me and i start to feel kind of sick. So i go to sleep and wake up two hours later with a fever of 102. The back pain has kept on and the fever hasnt let up either.
I just feel like complete sh!t right now. I cant get out of bed. Im laying here freezing on a heating pad for my back. This is miserable because im never injured and never sick.

Go to the hospital immediately. I do not think that being prescribed a corticosteroid and then having a fever the next day are coincidental. You could be having an allergic reaction to the drug.

Got the fever before i started taking the corticosteroid. I saw the doctor late that day so rather than starting immediately on it i waited until the next day. Just a sh!tty time to get sick. The fever has broken for now but it seems like a nightly thing of it coming back so i guess we'll see

I was in that position before. One extruded disc and several bulging. I didn't want surgery, so I did spinal decompression therapy. In a couple of days I could walk without too much pain, and in a week I was functional again. I think I did it for six weeks? It didn't remove the problem completely, and it took four years (away from the gym) to feel truly healthy again, but I consider it a miracle. You might want to check it out.
