Ron Paul 2012!
He probably make personal use of Steroids legal! That'd be cool by me. Can't I dream?
my opinion.....shoot them all and the world will be a better place
I was waiting from someone to get body slammed through the table...
My intentions of this video aren't to start World War 3Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I should have kept this vid to myself.
Its Common etiquette not to bring up Religion/politics in a neutral zone like this. But after that comment, I will respectfully challenge you to back that statement up. What good/peace would come out of having complete anarchy and having no one to follow and lead us? Again... I RESPECTFULLY challenge you. I realize you're the Vet and I'm the Plebe. But that solution doesn't seem thought out at all to me. And again... I agree that just about all politicians are greedy/corrupt scumbags. But I also believe that the system is designed to encourage that corruption. I believe humans are self centered and greedy by nature. How many people cut corners when given the opportunity? I know I have. People in this country are encouraged to have kids to get monthly checks from the government. We've made it possible for Obese people to claim dissability and not work but sit on their fat ass all day. Politicians are encourage to become corrupt. If I went into politics, there is probably a very good chance I would become corrupt the way the system is now. What I'm saying is... Its not entirely the politicians fault. The system is flawed and needs to be radically changed. Ron Paul is the only Guy I see challenging the entire structure of the government and exposing things for what they are.
Ill vote for the guy who lies the least. Isn't America great.
Ron Paul is great and Ventura would also be great if he could get off the conspiracy theory bandwagon.
wow you must be new you are so polite.......lol
I am not going to argue and I dont expect you to understand. I rather have great leaders like Kennedy back who think for their hard working American before their agenda but its just me I rather see hard working honest man rewarded for their work instead of some fat ass politicians again I am not the one who argues qbout politics its my opinion and we will just agree to disagree.
Ron Paul seems good, but he won't ever get the nomination in the ridiculous two party system which basically says "You have the right to vote for one of the two puppets we think are qualified for the job!". And if he did get the nomination and won presidency, by that point he must be brainwashed to actually follow the footsteps of those before him.
No, I do not believe in the United States president/government, nor the promise of "a government for the people".. and definitely not "..by the people". Elections are just illusions, don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to see that.
Ron Paul's a myth...YEAH I SAID IT!!! LOL!!! If he were to ever become president he'll compromise his ideals away just like Obama has done. Remember, Barack thought he would come in and change Hollywood because he wasn't a Washington fat cat or good ole boy. And look what happened.
It's easy to appease those who support and follow you, but when governing an entire country, you have to learn that you'll have to compromise many of your own ideals in order to appease most people (regardless of party affiliation). That's the nature of politics. It's been that way since the Greeks implemented a democratic form of government.
I disagree. The best way to judge people is by their ACTIONS in power. Obama proved LONG BEFORE entering the presidential race, that he was a compromiser, a flip flopper, and a typical corrupt Chicago politician. Just because Obama ran a smoke and mirrors campaign and said he was going to do this, that, or the other, all one had to do was glance at his voting record in the Senate (although short lived) to see that he was a typical progressive libtard, whos voting record sways with the wind.
I challenge you in contrast, to look at the THRITY YEAR voting record of Ron Paul in the House of Representatives, to ever find ONE BILL where he EVER compromised. He voted 'NO' on the war in Iraq, he voted 'NO' on the Patriot act, and 'NO' on the bailout. He was one of only a handful of reps to have the courage to vote 'No" on the Patriot act, which almost all political scientists unilaterally agree, is one of the biggest assaults on civil liberties since the days of J.Edgar Hoover.
Adding insult to injury, RAND Paul introduced a bill to the Senate, with a VERBATIM quote from Obama's presidential campaign, on avoiding foreign intervention, an in effort to curb military intervention on foreign countries without Congressional approval. Thats comical, as it makes Obama look like a complete liar and an ass. The end.
Godfather, I know few challenge you on your political opinion, but I will on this. Sure Ron Paul has never compromised, but being a Congressman is different from being a President and you are smart enough to know the difference. If he were to become President he will compromise, they all have...on something and to believe otherwise is a bit absurd. If you know a bill is going to pass because of sheer numbers, it's much easier to cast your vote with your conscience knowing yours isn't the deciding vote.
As far as Rand Paul is concerned, that is a completely different person all together. The war powers act is what it is, Godfather, and Obama acted within the rule of law. Whether I agree with intervention in Libya is besides the point. I agree with you on the Patriot Act as well. But again, besides the point. To my knowledge, Paul hasn't cast a decisive vote. I believe that all Presidents compromise their own beliefs once they become President, because we have 3 phases of our government, the President doesn't rule absolutely (that's a monarch, or dictator), so he/she will not always get his way, nor is his/her way always what is best for the country. So if you believe he will not compromise if he were to become President, then I don't think he is worthy of the job.
The end.
So basically, BGMC31... you think we're screwed anyway and there is no hope huh? No matter who gets in office, you think things will never change? I believe whatever happens, this system of government we have is in a downward spiral and is coming to an end. Something is gonna break. I think sooner or later, all these government protests that are happening in other countries will spill over to US soil. I'm looking forward to that. I don't know jack about Politics, but I have seen many interviews with many politicians. RP is the only person I see challenging our current system and saying we need radical change. It baffles me that more people don't feel the same way. I don't see how people aren't emotionally moved/motivated by that video. The vid makes me angry at our gov, but also hopeful. I doubt many people even watched it. You heard the name Ron Paul and quickly skipped over it. RP isn't even in it, he's mention twice in the entire interview.
Yep, we're screwed any way you look at it. But with that said, we aren't in a similar situation as any of the other countries experiencing political upheavals at this time. This are countries with zero industry (except oil for many of them), rampant unemployment (40%-60% conservative estimates), and the vast majority living in abject poverty, and zero middle class. These are also countries ruled by dictators and tyrants. Very little of that exist here. In order to get to the point of those countries, blatant changes to our ideologies need to take place, not implied ones. By this I mean, a lean toward socialism would have to mean, not forcing everyone to buy insurance from private companies, but something like eliminating the freedom of religion, or Obama using executive order to become President for life. Those things aren't happening nor will those things happen. Seems to me the vast majority of members of this forum are conservatives (not necessarily calling you republicans or whatever), but what conservatives are experiencing under Obama is what progressives and liberals felt under Bush. Many longed for this so-called revolution, but it didn't happen.
There is hope, but not in the way you want. Things will change, but getting a 30yr politician (no matter how radical) to lead us is just more of the same, IMO. Compromise doesn't really benefit everyone, it just hurts everyone less...LOL!
That's the problem with our system. Often times the solution to a problem is either red or blue but there is always a purple outcome which leaves as many citizens unpleased as there is pleased. The whole libertarian thing will never get enough traction for a presidential outcome because persons like ron/rand paul will bet bogged down in social/religious/abortion issues. Issues that dont belong in the governments hands yet we are so politically dumb as a country in whole that we resort to these "kneejerk" provocative topics to ensure the "other guy" doesnt get into office.
I could run for president promising a bombproof agenda of no war, keeping health ins cost low, letting business prosper whether union or non union, lowering everyones taxes while reducing the deficit. The first things people would want to know is: Who would i nominate to the supreme court, a baby killing liberal or a neo con war monger? Would i let gay people get married or let them have civil unions even though they are the same fvckin thing? What would i do with everyones guns??? Oh yea how could i forget, what is my religion and how much do i go to church??? Questions that have nothing to do with the country's financial/industrial/manufacturing/education success.
I voted for that squeaky little short guy with big ears from texas....
It was a protest vote, and I am 100% FOR balancing the budget every year. And my.... didn't he get 20%+ of the vote? Voting for the third guy sometimes DOES work! We did balance the budget the very next year. It wasn't Clintons idea UNTIL that squeaky little short guy with big ears from texas gave it to him.
TRUMP for 2012!!!!! haha
I'm not really a lebertarian, more democrat than anything, but i think i would've voted for McCain if he didnt have momma grizzly runnin with him, if that makes any sense. I also dont see how a person like ron paul doesnt get more traction than he actually does against other republicans. During the republican presidential candidate debates i thought he rocked the house debating against mccain, huck etc. Sooner or later ron/rand paul types will get tripped up on the social stuff and they're toast.
I dont see how people think obama is a fraud, liar etc. He (and hillary) ran campaining on universal health care, get out of iraq and afgan and continue the bank/auto bailout and stimulus and he did all that. We overwhelmingly voted the guy in along with a big democrat sen/reps wtf did people expect??
There's gotta be more "fiscally conservative/socially i dont give a fvck what you do in your own damn house" people out there.
"Democracy matures into an ugly old whore who must sell her body faster and faster for less and less." (unk)
Fracturing federal system in Washington, coupled with a rapidly dividing country, a declining global marketing presence, all points to some
very interesting times ahead.
(start checking your grocery prices)
Too bad this is exactly where this country is headed. Eliminating the middle class, government subsidized living, poverty level increasing everyday, exporting all of our manufacturing.
Why would they extend unemployment benefits for another 99 weeks? Because people with money are a threat. Their mentality is give them just enough to survive and they will not have the energy or power to stand up.
Funny how we worry about the muslims intentions on America when the pentagon reported it costs them 300 billion a year in stolen secrets by the chinese. That they have become so good at stealing everything from the internet in America. And that the big business from China that makes all kinds of goods for America and the world were quoted as saying that they had no problem at all making inferior goods for the world since they are all non chinese so it doesnt matter to them. This is the normal attitude of the Chinese Busineses as quoted from them on American television. Ya gotta love those Chinese. By the way my HP wireless printer model C309A, that I purchased 12 months and a week ago quit working and HP wont fix it cause the warranty is only for 12 months, even though all their wireless printers have the same issues. Guess where it was made?
Globalization is such an interesting dynamic. It really proves the driving force behind things. For instance, purely for political reasons (of trade) we've moved China's position on the top 10 human rights violators down significantly, simply because we do alot of business with them, not beause they are committing less human rights violations.
Interestingly enough, Israel SHOULD be included in one of the top 10 human rights violators for what they do to the people of Palestine, up to and including, using human shields in a field of battle (illegal under the Geneva convention), and using food, oil, and medical services as a weapon against the people. They have created an Aparteheid style system of government whereby Palestinians are 'less than citizens' they are 'right restricted' citizens, exactly how blacks or "Kaffers" were treated in South Africa under Apartehid. Of course, we ignore these injustices and many others for political reasons.
Human rights play such a SMALL SMALL role in the overall political agenda of the world. They are really inconsequential to our country and a handful of tree hugging bleeding heart political lobbies.
Uncle Suckemoff lives up to his name every day. Afraid to tackle the
illegal alien problem this shabby former icon gleefully spends our national
wealth chasing shadows. Illegal aliens cause the deaths of 12 Americans
daily. How many Americans has Mummar killed?
Oh gawd, so true...china is where american capitalism can practice its purest form; americans using slave labor to produce things to sell to fellow americans. To me that's shady and unpatriotic but i do humbly know the problem is bigger than that. We and any other civilized nation will never ever be able to compete with china's labor and money system. That's not a union/non union or red/blue thing either. It's a 5 cents/hour labor cost vs U.S. minimum wage labor cost. And it's all "throw away" technology so when it breaks we just buy another one.
I just dont know why israel gets away with what it does. That country is in for an awakening though. Correct me if i'm wrong but i think the palestinians are slowly on their way to becoming a majority of the population. There's like 6 million jews in israel and about 5.7 million (and rising) palestinians in israel, gaza and the west bank.
I bumped this just to see BigSex's avy....one of my favs.
