I know the *ssholes will keep posting, but maybe the rest of us can stop arguing. It is the worst trolling behavior I have seen in a while, and I, like many of you, have been giving these attention whores what they want.
I am stopping, mostly because I should have never started. I am embarrassed that I have helped allow these topics to become a big part of this community lately.

We have all become good at not being bated by 18 year olds demanding advice. We have avoided useless name calling. We have avoided forum-splitting arguments about religion and politics. We can certainly stop fighting about race, or sexual orientation, or other hot button topics.
This forum is what we make it, and I don't want to argue about any of those things...so I no longer will. Others do want to argue, and I am not trying to shut anyone up, but I can encourage folks to think about what they want this community to be about. What makes you want to come here several times a day?

What makes me sad and embarrassed is the fact that this forum goes world wide, and that people from all over will think that we all in America are narrow minded people with our narrow minded ways. Fortunately for us most of those from other countries are educated enough to know that as in their country, we too have a few loose screws running rampant. But sometimes it is very difficult to refrain from responding to someone who continually spews hate and ignorance without being put in check. It's a tough balance. I am quite guilty of being baited, but am working on that. It's like the bully in school who keeps pushing you and pushing you till finally you can't take it anymore and bam you hit back..

Ummmm, I basically said the same thing, but in a different way. But it isn't about being offended. None of this stuff offends me. The "its the Internet" comment sets no standards for communities. The man does make a good point. You people are very sensitive. Your leader is the most sensitive of them all. He gets people banned just for making him mad and not actually breaking any rules. So I'm not sure why any of you follow the rules anyway. Slang offensive terms, racist and sexist words/phrases/comments are used everyday in the real world between friends and enemies alike. But this is the g/damn internet and noone is suing anyone for calling their mommy a black whore or daddy a stupid faggot. You know why? Cause you DON'T fvckn know the person so who cares. For number 1 & 3 thank you. For number 2 if the cars not starting at all its usually always a battery issue (I know thats not what you asked). If its making a weird clicking noise after it starts chances are the starter shaft got bent out of shape and at slower speeds (like when it starts) the shaft is now hitting against the spool inside the starter. When it reaches full speed the shaft is probaly not spent too severely yet so it goes away.
Or option b a branch got stuck in the starter although I doubt that. Its more likely a rock got thrown in there and damaged the shaft. If its more an electronic type of beep then you'd have to check the manual for problems with the computer.

they are "stupid" but that they lack basic skills re: things abstract. That's OK, when I
employed tech types all I wanted them to do was to crunch numbers. Contracted to what

bean counter and that is fine. And you may be great at it. But you lack of a historical overview is shocking. You are not
executive material with such a narrow focus. Suggest courses in history, economics, politics,
to at least stimulate your thought processes and perhaps gain you an insight into scientific approach
to questions.
