Mike Tyson is actually quite intelligent, albeit neurotic.

Yes i am aware that he has become unpopular in popular culture today. And i base this upon what i have seen of him in interviews mainly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGTK_...eature=related

Snooki. know all know nothing.
Mike Tyson's use of old school gentlemanly words like 'skull-duggery' lift his IQ for me

so I watched about half the video. yes, he appears humble and sincere. and he is talking about something he knows about... himself!
Even when I was a big fan of his in the 80's, pretty much everyone I knew, including myself, knew this man was challanged intellectually.
Nothing in the video I watched would suggest he was "quite intelligent".
But I've seen many of his interviews over the years, and to witness how his mind works and how he talks about things he knows nothing about is interesting.
He was interviewed once about a back injury he had. The interviewer was pumping him for some additional information, and asked him what type of back injury he ssutained. Mike, in all sincerity, gave him a one word answer...."spinal". and that was his final answer.
Now, ol' Iron Mike didn't get that the spine and the back are one in the same. he seemed quite happy with his answer, and the interviewer, being a huge intellect himself, left it at that.
He was also interviewed another time about his rape charges. He said they were bogus, true, things got a little rough......

He is definitely not dumb or intellectually "challanged" (i'm sorry, i couldn't resist ). And knowing only what you said in your post about the interview about his injury, i would say what mike said makes sense. The back is the larger all encompassing thing, while the spine is the bone. So at least he narrowed it down to an osteopathic matter. And if you watch his biography (which i recommend, to both fans and critics), he talks about matters other than his own, and is knowledgeable about them. And being able to look at your life from a third person, more objective viewpoint is a key aspect of emotional intelligence. As far as the rape... well, if you watch his biography you take a different stance... but i tend to go with the majority on that one

that's hilarious!
sounds like that is your final answer.... "Iron Mike is quite intelligent".
guess we'll leave it at that then

not that I am a fan of bush but I saw a old interview of him after losing his first election because he sounded to smart and people couldnt relate to him. He said he will never be out dumbed again, so I would think he is a lot smarter then people think he is and just plays dumb

Ozzy Osbourne. He may have had some brains at one point but they're gone now.
Snooki. Anyone who enjoys being called snooki is a gauranteed idiot
About mike Tyson. He's not a genius but the guys not stupid. I think a lot of people take his speech impediment as a mental problem.

aw dude thats the only reason i re watched big mikes documentary, to hear those sayings and words straight out of a thesaurus he would disperse amongst his sentences to sound 'sophisticated'. i love the guy.
"when i was young i would get up to all kinds of general skull-duggery..."
i think this sums up his public persona to a degree:
"At times, I come across as crude or crass, that irritates you when I come across like a Neanderthal or a babbling idiot at times. But I like to be that person. I like to show you all that person because that's who you come to see."
I think he's a pretty clever guy, he didn't grow up with a decent education, he was a street rat, he's taken some wicked beatings to his head. despite this when he's not playing up his persona he can actually come across as an insightful dude.
on the other hand i can find no excuses for snooki off jersey shore

Mike Tyson's boxing acumen and sports acumen in general is pretty high. I probably wouldn't discuss politics with him, but he isn't a dummy by no stretch.
Mike Vick is quite intelligent, he holds a degree from Virginia Tech and if you attend his football camps or his PETA speeches at high schools, the guy isn't a dummy either.
I would have to say Evander Holyfield or Paris Hilton. Toby Keith isn't the brightest person either. I did some bodyguard work for him and the guy is definitely a mental midget.

Has anyone ever listened to Mike Tyson talk about something he loves? I have heard him talk about boxing history and technique, and he becomes a different person. I think he loves it so much that he stops being self conscious. I am not saying he is a genius, but he strikes me as being very knowledgeable about things he thinks are important.

German Shepherds are very intelligent, can sniff out drugs and take down scumbags on command. Its why they make good dogs for police and military personel. The only thing Paris Hilton can do on command is press Record and start sucking dick!
As much of a dumb fvck as Bush is, Palin takes the biscuit. But most bible thumpers are dumb tards.
