Options for training
I know this might be better suited in the workout forum but seeing as it's not visited often I thought I might try my luck here.
I have an injury in my left elbow tricep area doc is still working out what is wrong been to a couple of specialists with no luck but am seeing an upper limb specialist next week. The injury prevents from training anything and even legs because even lifting weights onto the barbell is out of the question.
I am still strictly dieting but have adjusted my diet to suit me not training. Iv been off the gym for about 4 months now and am losing size slowly. It actually depresses me not being able to train.
Im not sure how much longer il be off for sooo just wondering what some of the more experienced guys would do if you couldn't train?
Thanks

I can feel your frustration mate. I've been in a similar situation. Two traumas around the same time. Tendon at left forearm/bicep and torn muscle behind left quad.
Took me down for over 6 months.
There are something you can still do
Cardio
Leg press
swimming
Sex (even your woman may appreciate this one!)
But sometimes, if your body is needing time to heal, it's best to just allow that to happen. yeah, you'll lose some gains. but if you push it, it may actually delay how long it will be before you can return to the gym.
Yes, patience is sometimes a difficult thing. But this is what you need right now.

Thanks times. I suppose I could make some training program around a couple of leg exercises. Leg press like u said, seated calves, leg curls, seated leg raise... If u can think of anymore I'd appriciate it? Then maybe il throw in some cardio and try and work it out so I can go a few days a week. Sex is def not out of the question however Iv got to be careful some positions hurt. Lol
Thanks for the advice mate

If it hurts to lift the weight up toput it onto the barbell use the other arm! Seems simple enough right?
Use hammer strength machines for legs that have weight stacks. All you have to do then is move a pin. Do cardio and abs.
If there's a will there's a way. You seem to have lost the will otherwise this thread wouldn't have been needed. No disrespect but You're the reason you're not exercising at all not your elbow. Just being honest here.

Constructive criticism I guess. Probably something I needed to hear. I guess there are plenty of things I can still do. Just hard to get past the mental dissapoinment/frustration of not being able to train properly. I think I just need to make a program thats suited to my restrictions.
Thanks mate any advice welcomed
