You are what you eat.
I think this would hold true for many countries. Most people tend to throw there diet out the window when vacationing. I know if I went to italy I'd do nothing but eat pasta all day lol.
no one really watches what they eat when they are on vacation and i am sorry i have traveled the world and some of the best food/restaurants are in major cosmopolitan cities such as new york la and chicago
But the average food in the states is much much better then in the UK, the sizes are a lot larger and it's everywhere
Uk wins in beer stakes
I think it's the opposite Terraj definetly in Ireland food is better. Least you have an option over here than just to have fries with everything or Chhheeeesssssseeeeee with everything. I am just back from hols in America I'm glad to have something that isn't fried. Restaurants aren't really as good imo. But steaks and ice cream is better lol![]()
Chicagos food isn't much different than st louis's and it's nothing to brag about IMO. Y'all have gyros but they're nothing special. If you want good food you have to head south. It may not be healthy but it will taste better than anything you've ever had.
Nah we went to a good few independent restaurants to be honest. I didn't really mean the restaurants most where ok but everything in america seems to come with cheese to be fair![]()
You should have went to Denny's and got their new sandwich
The restaurant chain recently announced a bunch of new items to its value menu. And while most of them are nothing new — quesadilla, fried shrimp — the "fried cheese melt" caught our eyes and stopped our hearts.
The sandwich, which should sell for $4, is "made with four fried mozzarella sticks and melted American cheese grilled between two slices of sourdough bread. It is served with French fries and a side of marinara sauce." It and the other new items should be available starting Aug. 24.
I knew you liked Dennys GB![]()
Italian food in New Orleans is amazing. When I said south I meant more Mississippi, louisianna, and Alabama. I don't count Texas as the south lol. I would still bet the Asian food is better in NYC and with exception of new orleans, which is probably on par, I'd say the the steaks are prolly better up in NYC aswell. The seafood, Cajun food, and good ole southern style home cooking can't be beat tho lol.
Haha. I was being sarcastic about the gyros. As far as the rest of the food goes I've never been wow'd eating in Chicago. It was nothing different than what I eat in the restaurants here in STL. I've eaten at several different downtown restaurants in Chicago but can't remember the names. I'm sure there are better places than where I went but my experience was average.
i'd go to chicago for poregies
it was funny nonetheless stack it lol. Yeah i guess you have to be a native to know the good spotsOriginally Posted by stack_it;570***3

The best steak I ever had was in the States, in a cowboy type restaurant, outside Wright Patterson AFB. What a taste ..... American beef was / is wonderful!
