I would imagine they'd just see us as humans.. Being that most ghost encounters you hear of take place in the original homes or locations of where they lived or were wronged, I would think they must have some type of memory of their former life.

Interesting question.

I don't think they would perceive us as ghosts, since humans are source to a much greater energy than ghosts (and also, much greater than we can comprehend), and even daemons/angels and gods (this is if we follow a certain training, gain so-called "Magickal Authority", and learn how to deal with this immense power that we have the potential to emit and manipulate).

Booz's post touches on another possibility. I'm certain some spirits have not figured out yet how to access the "Real Time Zone" (which is our dimension without gravitational law, but is unperceived by most).

There's a 'species', or type of spirit, called the Djinn, which in Islam is said to be a demon. However, some of them can be communicated with without much risk. Anyways, these Djinns are said to be able to see us, but only very very hazy. I'm assuming it's like seeing a person through blurred glass, maybe even less clear.

All of this to give you an idea of some of the possibilities.

I personally think most (and I use this word lightly) spirits, ghosts, whatever you want to call them, ARE able to see us, since, like I stated above, we harness a LOT of energy. Heck, we exist in the PHYSICAL, that's how much energy is condensed in our bodies. However, to really answer your question, I assume they'd perceive us in our light/astral bodies.

What do you call all these hypotheses of scientists before proving or dis-proving an idea? You're damn right, assumptions.

Very interesting question, because how we perceive the world is 100% locked into our senses.

Our eyeballs, olfactory sense, tactile input, hearing.... all of this is tied into millions of years of evolution that enable us to perceive the world. Animals for instance see, hear, taste, view the world completely differently to us due to their physiology.

To assume "ghosts" can perceive like us, is to suggest they are still composed of the same biological components as us, such as possessing an auditory canal, ganglian cells and so forth, and that they then have a nueral network transmitting all of this to a functioning, biological brain.
