Yep, I figured it'd be a way to get you guys over here, besides looking at my pics.
Yep - jungle theme - monkeys, elephants, etc. Elephants in a jungle... lol
Thx bro!
Thanks!! Expecting - Oct. 3rd is the due date.
lol Shol'va, just myself and the wife. I do have a gay brother though, maybe I should have consulted him. Who knows what the room would have looked like then!!??
Umm... thanks... I think?
We went with the green/yellow in case the next one is a girl. Didn't want to do the traditional blue or pink thing... and the rest of the house is neutral/earth tones, so that wouldn't have worked.
Trust me, in person the colors aren't sickly yellow/green - we went through literally about 6 different tones of each before we found the perfect ones. But no worries, if it's not your thing, it's not your thing.

As you can see I feel your pain. I wish I had gone with hardwood floors but thankfully I have a steam vac carpet cleaner. LOL
It's a lot of work but it's nice to be able to say you did it in the end.Last edited by lovbyts; 08-14-2011 at 10:14 PM.

Looks great gbrice. Only 7 weeks bro . Im excited for you - the most amazing incredible feeling you will ever expoerience my friend. The nusery looks awesome- now I only hope your wife will USE it...see i converted a room (MY man cave room btw) to a nursery (similar colors btw) and when we got home with the baby we promptly moved the crib and a changing table into our room because stef wanted him to be close. Its all good - i like it too - but now shes talking like he will be in there till he's 2 or something ! *LOL* anyway seeing the room done and other things progress , as you get more stuff etc , makes it even more and more real doesnt it ?

Congrats bro! Good luck, keep us posted. My bday is Dec. 4th!
Thx SM!! Yes, we're looking at just a bit over 6 weeks now... that's IF she carries to full term!
Lmao!!! Thanks BG... i'll have to post a pic of my basement where one of my dogs literally chewed door frames and into the wall studs... then you'll feel better!
touche! You're killin' me gb!!
Beautiful work lovb... the decorative molding makes it look very 'rich' - in the artistic sense of the word.
Thx Dec!!!
Luckily, my house already has hardwood throughout, so I didn't have to mess with that. Would have made this a REAL pain in the ass!
Thx Jimmy, yea I can't wait bro! And you're right - completing these projects really does make it 'real'. Put the stroller together last night... can't wait to push the little guy around!
Thx TS!
I have all the furniture. Just need to put it together and get it in place. That will happen this weekend. To answer your question - for now the baby will be in the bassinet next to us in our bedroom. His room won't even be used for a few months.
Thx Pit! Not sure what you mean by 'addressed' - it's a boy! You're right though, it's certainly the most colorful room in our house, i'm sure we'll be in there all the time!
Hmm... hold old are you again TR?

Man I wasted a ton of money getting my daughters room ready for her, she has slept in the floor for 18 months now, and refuses any bed {Strange if you ask me} also wont sleep in her room. she sleeps in the guest room.
-

my son was the same way. didn't like his bed, so i let him pick out a futon for his room. but he still slept on the floor.
when i was a little squirt, there was this one room in the house i swore had ghosts in it....
....I believe the shadows on the closet door made it appear as if it were slightly opening and closing, like an optical illusion, is all i can figure.

Looks good GB..Too bad you cant make all the furniture, that is where you will feel the sting financially..You are gonna love being a daddy, it is the best thing ever to happen to me in my life.So good in fact i had another one just over a year after my first one..Only thing that really bothers me is the difficulty finding time to manage career, family and still find time for training. My gym time has suffered greatly over the last two years..but wouldnt change it for the world!!!
Congrats brutha i know you are dying to see the little man in the flesh!!
