Looks like a big a$$ ufo.
I'm glad to hear there were not more casualties than there are. It's just a good reminder we have no control over mother nature and it could have been a LOT worse.

yeh thanks...been meaning to look for some footage of what they look like from top to bottom...truly an amazing natural phenomenom....
as much havoc as irene wreaked they are lucky it weakened although a lot of flooding there could have been horrible wind damage as well...
couple more headin similar direction...late this season it appears

I can't understand how 37 people died in a cat-2 hurricane. I don't think that many people have died here in FL over the last 15 years from hurricanes. So I'm wondering this to myself, then I see all the clips on the news of dumbasses getting drunk and running around, riding bikes, etc in the hurricane. Retards.

actually thought it ended up being cat 1 when hitting U.S.
was like a 3 when at bahamas? went right thru them...i havent heard much news about that..i expected a lot of devastation...

I find it somewhat disturbing about the death count.. Its definitely inflated to make the storm sound worse n mainly get bigger ratings for the media... I mean c'mon, a bunch of those deaths weren't even directly to the storm.. people dying of Carbon monoxide from generators, people dying cutting down trees after the storm had passed.. pretty disrespectful to the families who lost someone in the storm for the media to use it as an excuse to gain ratings/revenue...
