Listening to music from when you were younger.
Bored today I jumped on the computer and started to listening to music. I tend to listen to music very loud because i love being overtaken from it. I started listening to some "old school" music, the same music i listened to as a kid. Funny how the music reminds you of the good times back when. I remember it as a simpler time. The days of school, work and a whole bunch of partying. Certain songs almost transport me to specific times where I have hung out with some good people. People who have passed away over the years. Funny thing is as the song plays i can hear our laughter in the background of the song. I can feel the joy that i felt back then and all i can do is smile and sing along as i did back then.
For you guys sitting around doing nothing on this holiday give it a try. Sit back and remember the good times.

Funny, i've been listening to the Lithium channel on Sirius/XM and they play all 90's - grunge, etc. I was already in my 20's so it's not really the music I 'grew up' with, but it was still good times in those days, and it definitely transports me right back.

Yeah I definetly get sentimental when it comes to 80's rock ballads as I remember bustin those teenage cherries..Everything seemed so powerful and real when you were a teenager..Nothing in adult life seems to carry the same weight as far as memories or the magic of the moment...

Music for nostalgia's sake is great. Such a nice feeling to escape the moment and take it back to a different time.
I find myself listening to recordings a lot of live shows that I attended, and getting caught back in that snapshot....remembering the people I was there with, the experiences we shared.
Have a lot of people's tastes changed that much? I still listen to a lot of the same music I grew up with, particularly Phish.

Haha, welp that's why I ducked .....used to enduring criticism for that particular taste in music.
Ever want to feel like an absolute beast? Go to one of their shows....the majority of their strungout fanbase subsists on veggie burritos and grilled cheese. Quite the spectacle.
Different strokes! Lithium on XM is good too....brings me back to Nirvana and the whole Grunge thing. I find it interesting that they still play a good amount of Pearl Jam, even though PJ has their own station. Only have seen them 1X - Bonnaroo '08, and it was one of my defining concert experiences.

You must have been a bad bad man...If you dont want to remember where you have been..There definitely are some times I wish to wipe from my memory banks but the best I can do is avoid things/places/people who bring back those dark times. But I love when something takes me back to the care free times of naivety.
