Think I've been scammed!!!

As you guys know ar-r is no longer selling certain products so I was forced to try elsewhere. The middle of last week I made an order. Payment was instantly taken out of my account and on their site it still says pending. I've tried to contact them by leaving a comment on their website then again today I sent an email and still no reply. I went as far as to call them and it says the number is not in service. You guys think I've been scammed or just jumping to conclusion? I just remember with ar-r they shipped it off the next day!




Note: I don't know if this type of thread is appropriate so I apologize if it's not but I really wanted others views on this and don't want others to also get scammed. I am also very angry while posting this thread!

I should have known better.. I was just in such a panic coz I thought that was the end of research chems.

I order a few things from India from time to time.....no tracking at all but they show up about 2 or sometimes 3 weeks later. Maybe they are slow, certainly will be slower than Ar-r, those guys were quick.

Agree ar-r was such a reliable site. They'd always send you confirmation emails and tracking numbers.

LOL that should be a given with ANY product you are looking for. I completely ignore their feedback section because you know they control what goes up there and what doesn't.

I dont use most of the commercial feedback or review sites either. I find forums are best for honest reviews from consumers but you have to watch for the obvious sales person hyping the product as well. Amazon and such is also pretty good if they have enough reviews but doesnt do much good for aas or pept. LOL

I always search forums or something like that with several first hand experiences from nonbiased people. A company will always post amazing reviews on their own site/ad. Read any bb mag and you'll see those are usually pretty over the top.

even then you still have to think, 'did the bad reviewers use it properly, do they know what they are doing in the first place?' etc etc. best way is to try yourself (within reason, of course)

100% agree. While I do still check certain review sites, I won't buy anything substantial or questionable without checking at least one forum. You will always get the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between.

I didn't write anything like that.. I just enquired how long it would take until it got posted and how long it usually took to get to Australia.

Guys I still haven't got a response and the order status is still 'pending'.

well, if it's cc, just contact the cc company and challenge the charge...

then they'll have to prove it to the merchant account that it was shipped..

if the product never arrives you can dispute the charge with the bank if they cannot solve it then the worst is youre out 250

Yea I hope the bank can get my money back.

What's worse is some of the products were for some of my friends. I told them the risk and cecumstances with ar so I hope they understand. If the products don't come I'll be in an akward situation.

happened to me once when I was a newb..lost a friend around 200 bucks..nothing you can do, it happens

Sounds like you may have been scamed. Did you pay with credit card? My capital one m/c offers online fraud protection for instances just like that in which they give you the money back! Perhaps you may be lucky in that way... maybe say it was stolen?? haha

Today I filled in a visa dispute form. It's been 2 weeks with no reply. I've sent 3 emails and tried to call. It says number not in service. Hope I get my money back!
