Too all of those claiming they live in a dorm room so they can't cook..
This is what I have to deal with every single day of my life. A hot plate in my bathroom sink, why? Because my studio apt is too small to own a stove. Also, I have some burners to make pasta/rice/veggies.
Stop complaining that you don't have time/ the place to make food and find a way to eat more.
Stop assuming that you can just go out and buy gear, and that will solve all of your problems.
It's literally 2 a.m. where I live in my small studio. My whole apt reeks of chicken, and I just set off my fire alarm twice..im sure my neighbors loved that.

I know people who can cook a gourmet dinner on a boat.
Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.Author Unknown

Good job man. I feel for you that you can't cook in bulk though. You will be in heaven when you can get a full sized oven. Chicken ten pounds at a time!

^^^^ Probably the only place with hard, level surfaces and non-flamible materials everywhere. You don't want splatter all over your comforter. People might get the wrong idea.

Haha, I choose the bathroom because 1, that sink might be the only thing in my apt that wont catch on fire, lol, and two, when I cook it stinks the whole apt up awful, the bathroom atleast has a fan built into the ceiling..helps somewhat, haha..It's really rough..I take 3-4 hours every monday to cook chicken/steak for the entire week..its a real painful and pathetic process, and I literally am embarrassed to invite people over because it smells so bad sometimes..Also, i dont have a kitchen sink, so that bathroom sink, is also my dish washing sink!

At University I found I actually ate much better than anywhere else previously.
If anything, I found going to the gym harder due to my study workload. Eating was the easy part then!

these are the good times mate!
I remember (ah shit! another old timer story???) when I lived in Germany, all we had to cook with was a hot plate, a BBQ and that's it. Long summer days of BBQ meat, washed down with some good German beer, and slinging the Frisbee around. Damn we had some good times back then!

But seriously TR what I like about you older guys is your stories of life back in the 70's and 60's. You all have some real wild things you all got to live in and through and experience first hand before life got all so real and serious and insane.

Stop complaining. At least you have power so you can use a hot plate. Back in the day we had to use Sterno or if we were lucky propane. Before that we just rubbed sticks together to make fire. We didnt have carpet on the floors so no fire hazard in the cave. LOL
As for sanitary, it's just another reason to get in the habit of closing the lid before you flush. Yeah it wont stop all of it but it will help. Spraying Lysol daily and cleaning with bleach is your friend...
