Would never do that without leathers, gloves and boots. Call me crazy.

I won't even watch that video because I have had road rash. Ugh. I was unconscious when I hit the emergency room and woke up just before they were going to scrub my road rash. The nurse saw me open my eyes, got a sad face and said, "oh honey, you should have stayed asleep for this." Luckily (well, sorta) I had a concussion and was in shock, so it could have been worse...but not one of my favorite ten minutes.

I think he got lucky for the most part. He stayed on his back/butt and it looks like his shirt stayed down and pants held up. He kept his feet/legs up and didnt roll so I bet he got off lucky. Hopefully he learned and didnt do that again.

believe me, that would have torn his ass and back to shreds. he'd of been doing at least 40mph to be holding that wheelie.

when i was a kid i came of my bicycle badly and only slid afew feet and had terrible friction burns, it was so bloody painful i can rem it 26yrs later

I dont doubt he got some good rash but it could have been a lot worse. Even with leather it usually doesn't take much to burn through.

Buy better leathers. I've gone down in a set at triple digits and walked away without a scratch.
