This will be my first Xmas in my new house. I would love to buy a bunch of decoration but I don't want to have to store them all year long.

I think Christmas decorations are awesome, especially these days as a growing number of people are offended by them. I just don't think all the work involved is awesome. Quite the conundrum.

There was a hotel in Dallas that would do giant ice sculptures that you could go on and walk through. They would give you a huge park cause it was like 20 degrees but it was cool to go through

I don't mind putting them up - but i hate takin em down.....

Maybe i'll take pics of the house this year..... I load it up with C9's and piss the neighbors off. I just hafta get a few more extension cords so I can run some lights to different outlets. I blew a circuit two years in a row now.....

yep we do it up every year... lights on the outside.. lighted candy canes down the drive way..

    Prelighted tree, dishes and everything...

and i'm not gay.. who would have thunk it.. my brother always says "I've got to represent my people" meaning gays, his house is the only other one that i know of where christmas looks like it threw up in there..

Actually it's a chore for sure, the boy helps with the lights which is a blast to watch him... we are getting them up this year before the snow flies..

My wife even decorates all 3 bathrooms to christmas scenes..

and the place smells of cinnamon for 7 weeks... on another good note, we throw 3 parties during this time and have a blast..

Thats awesome..... We do the same thing minus the 3 parties and the bathroom scenes. Most of the house is done up with white lights - pre lit tree decorated mostly with different kinds of santa clause's. wreaths, garland, the whole nine yards. I'm not the "smelly" kind of guy but the christmas smells are nice and seem to be stress relieving for me a bit. The whole holiday season just makes me feel better..... so I play into it as much as I can.

love xmas decorations and I think it puts people in a better cheer. It also has a lot to do with the little ones. Once I have kids I will for sure dedicate myself to putting up lights and decorations so they can experience what I did when I was small and still had that childhood innocence.

I think the decorations also remind us to think of others besides ourselves during this time of year and to let small trivial things go.

I enjoy christmas. I even like decorating, but taking decorations down sucks. Must say though, the food and parties are the best. Then comes NEW YEARS. Always down down for that celebration.

we had 6 kids here at the house for a small party with their parents... we then had a santa show up, he had their pics and names memories and a little something about each of them so he was able to ask specific questions..

it was pretty cool.. only cost $125 and he sat with each of them, read a story and sang a song.. here for one hour..
