When I was about 10, I saw a scene from the first Nightmare on Elm Street.
It's the scene where Freddy is stalking Nancy down an alley and his arms are freakishly long, and then he chases her.
That's all I saw and it freaked me the fvck out! LOL!

I was alway paranoid about someone/something under my bed. I never cared if they was actually something there, but was super parnoid that when i put my feet down to get up that they would be grabed and yank me under, or stabed, or somtimes bitten... weird.

One for example- nightmare of the house been on fire, my screams have my Dad waking me up, upon waking I see my Dad sitting on my bed but he is on fire.

grama and grama lived on a very very old farm.... 150 years plus, house made allsorts of noises at night in the wind... and i saw things... in the barns, behind the barns, and in this room under the stairs, the room had a door way that was two feet across and 5 feet tall... the room was a huge huge room, it had all sorts of furniture in it, two sectionals, a few large rocking chairs, a organ, and tons and tons of clowns, figures, pictures and such, it had a old door way to out side that led to a poarch that was never open, it was always locked shut... no body ever went in to the poarch from in side or out side.
and trust me i saw things ... makes my skin crawl even writing this....
and guess what ? guess where i had to sleep when i stayed at grama and grampas???? yep... terror pure terrorLast edited by amcon; 11-07-2011 at 09:36 PM.

That's funny, that's my #1 fear also and same in Washington State, we have lots of them.
I think it's always one or the other, see I love snakes. How do you like this little guy? LOL
What really scared me was out of body experiences. I would see myself floating, falling or just looking around and when I would try to wake up it's like I would awaken but I'm frozen, I cant move, yell or anything. It would take a good couple of minutes moving in SLOW motion before I had control of my body again. It was the weirdest feeling of being helpless and paralyzed.
How do you like this little guy Dec11. It's a huntsman spider. I have seen one about the same size in the Philippines, scared the sh*t out of me. I was reaching for something on the top of a refrigerator and almost grabbed it, it jumped about 1" from my hand onto the wall over a foot away. I swear my heart stopped and I dont know how I didnt scream like a little girl in front of the GF and her parents. She said it's like a pet, they are just typical house spiders. I didnt sleep the next 2 nights.

yeah, that scene back then was the freakiest shit that was put on tv back then... pretty crazy.
I was afraid of the dark as a little kid. I was raised around scary stories and hauntings and shit like that. I would sit in my bed all night waiting for the boogie man to come out of my bed or closet or look in my window or walking my room from the hallway. lol
I grew out of all that... I can't say I was scared of anything like that since then. Now at 37 I think I have pretty much dealt with every fear. I am not immune to it, but all I can say is that I don't want to leave my kids behind without a dad until they are old enough to look out for themselves. That's about it for now.
