Yolk or No Yolk
I get this a couple times a day, every day from clients. I always tell people egg whites, however I don't even do this and I am starting to wonder why I tell them no Yolk! I love the yolk, infact I almost cant eat eggs without it. I have never noticed adding extra fat on my frame by doing so even if I eat them daily. I think the extra fat helps me with sustained energy throughout the day and helps with testosterone production in men. Research suggests that when total fat, saturated fat and monounsaturated fat intakes increase, so does testosterone. What do you guys think!

approx 5 grams of fat in egg yolk and i consume 10 eggs per day(whites) so if i was to take whole eggs that is extra 50grams fat and since im cutting that is no good for me, im no expert and base that on no medical studys just my opinion, while bulking i would prob take 5 out of the 10 eggs whole as i wouldnt be as worried about fats and the extra fat will be ok trade off for extra aminos, nutrients etc in yolks

Two cups egg whites and two whole eggs every morning for me. No way the fat in whole eggs would fit right in my macros.
I certainly don't need the higher fats for more testosterone .

More convenient n easier to eat larger quantities.

yolks have huge vitamin D in them! So don't throw all of them out. If it fit's your fat macros they are good to eat.

Never throw the yolk.
Full of growth factors, amino acids, digestive enzymes and omega-3.
Terrible thing to waste.
Adjust your macros (fat) to include yolks. Put less PB on your toast or something...

In the morning i have 6 eggs. I only leave 1 yolk in the bowl.
Its not so much the fat , its the CHOLESTEROL !
1 large white egg has 185 mgs which is 60% of the daily value baed on a 2000 cal diet or whatever.
The yolk Contains most of the fat and Cholesterol. So if you have 6 full eggs in the morning thats 1,110 mgs of Cholesterol. Thats 360% you daily recomended intake. For just breakfast. LOL If you have a dozen eggs which i know some peopl do, thats 720% . I personally like it the way i make them.
For someone looking to lean down id choose something else . And for someone in the process of bulking, your heart doesnt need all the abuse, Just suck it up and remove the yolks.

Your info. is outdated.
Saturated fat and cholesterol have almost no effect on heart disease.
So what does cause problems? Processed carbs, simple carbs, hydrogenated fats, trans fats and others.
Take and eskimo's diet and then look at the average American.... Who do you think has a higher rate of CHD, cancer(s), obesity?

I love eggs !
Razr was asking where all the hype about the yolk is comming from. Its the fat content and Cholesterol. If i have 6 eggs, i generaly prefer 1 yolk.
Just personal preference.

I haven't read the other replies so I'm sure my opinion is going to be redundant, but I'm giving it anyway!! :P
Egg yolks are great... they contain a ton of nutrients, and the while cholesterol thing is way overblown IMO. Think about it - does the baby chick grow in the white, or the yolk sac? Nuff said!
That being said, the protein to fat ratio is not great by any stretch, and I don't recommend eating them on a 1:1 basis. I'll usually do 1 whole egg to every 2 whites, depending on my dietary fat allotment for the current goal.
