    Zero calorie, zero carb noodles...??

I saw this on Yahoo and it piqued my interest. It's a zero carb, zeo calorie noodle. Weird.

    from the maker:

    * made of naturally water soluble fiber with no fat, sugar, or starch.
    * contain zero net carbohydrates and zero calories, no gluten -made of a healthy natural fiber called Glucomannan.
    * wheat & gluten free and kosher.
    * Easily absorbs the flavors of any soup, dish, or sauce.
    * are instant and come in a variety of styles
    * have shown beneficial effects backed by medical studies for Type II Diabetes, Constipation, Obesity, and Cholesterol!

so I guess it's targeted at people trying to lose weight and diabetics

Seems like it could work very well for people cutting calories that want a little extra food in their belly without the extra calories!!! Hell, I'll give it a shot once I start my cutting diet. I'll be full every meal! Yee Haw. LOL

One of my favorite ways to get tuna fish down is to make tuna with whole wheat pasta and light cheese sauce. However, when going low carb this is not an option. I had no idea fiber only pasta was possible thanks for posting.

"They have a slightly gelatinous mouth feel"

This turned me off a bit. I have no idea what an asian rice noodle is though so maybe I would like them. All that undigestable fiber could be a problem.

on of the comments on that page lol

If you have ever had abdominal surgery and may have adhesions from it DON'T TAKE A CHANCE on eating these. I was hospitalized for 5 days after eating them due to an intestinal blockage caused by the noodles. They don't break down the way other noodles do.
